It is a medium-sized nip. The writing surface is very smooth and the grip is very comfortable. Fountain pens have the same mechanism. Highly recommended.

万年筆のペン先をそのまま付けただけ。インクの保持を全く考えてない。やっぱり、筆記具メーカーじゃないから？？初めてミドリにがっかりしました。軸も綺麗にインク色に染まります。

Its a very nice well made pen. I like the shape and the fact that it is very compact.

インクリザーブが悪く、多くインクに付けると、書き始めに一気にインクが降りてきてベタベタ。

Overall this is a nice pen and nib, and writes smoothly with a good medium line. The body is made out of compressed paper, which is very smooth and makes it comfortable to hold.However, as another reviewer pointed out, the nib is starting to rust, even though I have been diligent in drying it off after each use. In trying to check the rust I was able to loosen and eventually remove the nib, which I think is not advertised as possible. It fits back in tightly so no harm done I guess, and so far the rust hasn’t crept any higher up the nib.The paper body, being essentially porous, is prone to staining - especially by vivid/dark inks. Not a deal-breaker but it does make for a rather dirty looking pen after a few uses.Those concerns aside I’ve enjoyed using this and it is one of my go-to dip pens. I recommend it as long as it’s a good price and you don’t mind the inevitable stains. I’ll probably buy another one and try to get the nib out right away so that I can throughly dry it out after using the pen.
