Got this to help with visibility when taking the dogs for walks when its dark out. It worked great!

I found the strap to be VERY comfortable. It’s padded in the front section more than the others, but even then, the rest of the strap has a soft coating on it.The construction is good, like the rest of Elgins products and I can easily see why this is considered impact resistant.The batteries are very simple to change out and operate this is also just a simple with one button.Negatives:IF there was any weak spot in the construction though, i would say its the Hinge and the plastic that holds the strap. Those parts actually don’t feel as good as the rest of the product and I was a little surprised considering Elgins reputation. This will knock off 1 star for me. I highly recommend they increase the quality of this area.The last part is the batteries. It’s a shame that this isn’t a rechargeable unit, but you do get the benefit of being able to toss in your own batteries anytime you need to in an emergency, and you can always throw in some of your own rechargeables if you want. So it’s not really a “negative” exactly, but just something to be aware of.

I love having sturdy, quality headlamps with us when we camp and hike. Our old ones were beginning to stretch out in the band, so I thought I'd try this brand to compare. It's not only more stylish than others we have, it has such a comfortable adjustable headband! The rechargeable aspect is especially appreciated when we're at 11,000 feet in Colorado and don't have immediate access to batteries if we run out. It seems to hold over an hour at a time and only takes about 20 minutes to recharge, which is a huge plus! The light gives off a bright glow and has four options, including one red light, that really illuminates the space, rather than just a dim glow. Recommend!

The quality of this headlamp is higher than I expected. The materials used feel nice and not cheap or like they'd break easily. The elastic headband is comfortable and easily adjustable, even when while wearing the light, which is a nice touch.There's extra material on the headband where it touches your forehead, making it more comfortable. A nice feature is the headband can be easily removed from the light, making it easy to wash and get out the salt that's accumulated from sweating into it.The light has just one button, which makes operation easy. No need to fumble with which button you need to press. Pressing the button cycles through the light options: low, medium, high, red. There is no "SOS" feature which is very refreshing.The light beam is a nice, diffused cone of light with no hot spots. It has no spotlight function, instead providing a wide and evenly distributed amount of light.Would I buy it again or recommend this to friend: Yes.

This headlamp is all around great for many reasons starting with the fact that it's designed to be a lot more stylish than others I've used in the past. It's rechargeable and has the most comfortable adjustable headband that I've ever worn. The headlamp itself is super bright and has 4 different modes of lighting= 3 shades of regular lighting and one red light. They're all bright and the gray thing is that it's not that yucky yellow light, it's a white type of light which I personally prefer! It holds its charge for over an hour of consistent use. And fully charges on about 20 minutes. I use this when I need extra light for various art projects. I am finding it very useful and recommend it to anyone in need of a little extra bright light.
