I was looking for a small compact activity non electronic activity toy for my grandbaby who was recently diagnosed with autism and happened upon this while scrolling and thought it was worth a try ....she was enthralled upon opening and spent hours so far playing with it ...her favorite activity is sorting the shapes and placing them upon their wooden pegs....

Very cost-effective and can be played for a long time. The question is whether the top can be improved and fixed, otherwise it will keep falling off when playing with the side.

Keeps my little ones busy and they learn so much. Great value for the price.

When I opened the box and lifted the toy out, pieces spilled out everywhere so I would suggest opening it carefully. Besides the packaging not benign the best, the toy is well made. There is something fun on all sides of the cube and even little extras such as shape matching, flash cards, and shape threading for fine motor skills. The xylophone is a hit in our house. Inside the cube can be used for storage so that’s nice. No shape parts or unsnarled parts on the wooden pieces, it’s all very smooth and the pieces are large so I don’t foresee any hazards.

We bought this as a Christmas gift for a baby starting to sit up. She loved it & it was small enough to fit between her legs so she could sit in tripod position using the cube to steady herself.Pros✅ easy to clean parts✅ variety of activities to choose from✅ small enough for new sitters✅ wooden & well built✅ great price att ($20)✅ has a lot of features & items included✅ the bead maze was great to help her with control of her little hands & fingersCons🚩 some small parts that should be taken out for very young babies (esp those in mouthing stage)🚩 hard edges (if they fall, it would hurt)🚩 wooden mallet ( could be a stabbing hazard)🚩 light so very easy for them to lift off the ground when playing (esp if you have a hulk baby like us)—-> we mitigated all the risks, took out all the extra toys & only give it to her when we are around to watch her play. Our baby was very young (5m) so her sitting was still shaky. Now at 8m, she lifts it, so we still watch her. However, she will probably be able to play with it well into toddlerhood & we will eventually give her all the small parts it comes with. Also, disclaimer, we are first time parents & extremely anxious when it comes to injury & safety, so those cons may not be issues for all parents.

The wood on one side split in two places within a month of gentle, regular use of the toy. All I did was slide the broken section up and out of the groove it was in (which would be very easy for a child to do), exposing splintery wood & very dangerous choking hazards. This toy is cheap because it is CHEAPLY made. Do not purchase this. So upset I'm outside the return window...
