For the price you pay for a Moccamaster, it ought to include this carafe!Better glass, feels substantial, perfect fit and doesn't spill coffee. The spout on this carafe is perfect for pouring coffee, unlike the Moccamaster which had me and visitors constantly spilling coffee (SLOWLY and methodically going at great measures to be careful).Don't get me wrong, I love my Moccamaster. Best drip, no frills, coffee maker that is consistent in temp and quality. 4 years and going strong. The carafe that comes with the Moccamaster doesn't seem to match the quality of the rest of the device.If you are placing an order for a Moccamaster, order this carafe and keep the one that comes with the Moccamaster as a backup.

This carafe works perfectly with my Mocha Master coffee maker.It is actually better designed than the original due to the addition of the stainless strap wrapping around the bottom which helps support the weight of a full pot of coffee and protects the plastic handle from breaking.

After buying three original Moccamaster carafes, I decided to try a generic version. I chose this one based on its features and customer reviews. So far, it has worked wonders. This one seems sturdier, with denser glass, and the additional metal band will probably help it withstand minor bumps. The only concern is how the handle is attached to the carafe, with a clip-like feature on the top. So far, it has my endorsement—I like it, and it works wonders. Let’s wait a bit longer for an update!

The pot provided with the Moccamaster is terribly fragile. This replacement is outstanding ! It is more substantial and the lid is not that rigid plastic that on the original began to crack. If you spent the money on one of the best coffee makers, then consider replacing their pot with this one. You will not be sorry.
