If you want an absolutely tiny watercolor palette this one works. It doesn’t hold much paint or a lot of different colors but if you want to do fast simple sketches it works pretty well.

Comes mostly as pictured, but the paint pans are not coated and the mixing portion simply has a "plate" inside. The magnets on the sides don't really align.I am sure this will work, but it will be difficult to impossible to clean if no layer is added between the paint and the wood.

I love the brown wood and the glossy finish on the outside. Its about palm sized and it's great for fitting in small bags. I like the space cut out for a clip to hold it to your journal. The magnets are decent. My only qualm is that my palette came detached from the wooden part so I would say a strong glue needs to be used but it wasn't a big deal to put it back on with some glue. I could see this being something I would repurchase for myself or as a gift!

The box just recently arrived. It is a beautiful, well crafted box with palette. I’ve recently order 24 mini-watercolor pods. This will be perfect to hold them. It is also great for travel. Also, if I don’t want to work in my studio, a small journal, a cup of water, a brush and this palette I can work anywhere in the house.

Who knows if third time is the charm but the pallet was completely broke. Off each time I received it.
