Feathers and Blood: A Dark Mafia Romance (Feathers and Thorne Series Book 1)

Always up for a Mafia romance novel. I have read quite a few. This one was definitely interesting and it kept me wanting to turn the page. A few typos here and there so I had to re-read a sentence here and again, but still overall a great read.

The smut in this book is absolutely SMUTTING!! Intense and dramatic! Sometimes horrifying in a good way! Def a good quick read!

I want to start with the positives. I liked the characters, the development, and the plot, both the content and the pace. And the spice spiced very nicely, although the content of it is most definitely not for everyone.That said, I nearly DNFed the book because it is desperately, desperately in need of an editor. Roughly 70 percent of the adjectives and adverbs in the book don't make any sense in context and it feels like someone swallowed a thesaurus and vomited it back up.I'm not sure that I'll continue reading the series though I did enjoy this book-the need for editing is more than I could handle.

Wow! what a freaking ride!! The MMF and MMC are so broken and damaged. And yet they fulfill each other’s needs. The MFC is a sweet, submissive virgin and the MMC is handsome, dominant, possessive and protective.This book does have a cliff hanger and isContinued in book two. It is an awesome read with action and spicy bits (he can’t get enough of her) heavy all the way through it.

I read this book in one day! I couldn’t put it down! So many ups and downs and the perfect amount of spice! 100000/10

Interesting start. Read it in a day, not sure how much I’m liking Carter and Bella right now, but the storyline so far is enough to keep my interest for the next book, wish me luck.

This story was a little messy. I felt like stuff was missing and it was jumping paragraphs. Bella is confusing to not like any violence but is there in the middle everytime. You don’t like it but your attacked but hey it’s ok I’ll get attacked again but someone I’m sleeping with and then get hurt again. Like how does that make sense. I hate how she’s always referred to as a prostitute or other similar names when she was a virgin. Which her losing her virginity was horrible and didn’t make sense. I almost DNF’d this book a couple times but I was in it and needed to know what happened. The ending wasn’t bad but it’s ok. This book wasn’t for me but that’s not to say it might be for someone else. It was oke, I didn’t love it and also not hate it. But there were bits and pieces in the storyline I hated. Unfortunately the majority of the story Bella was bruised. Can the girl get a freaking break. The spice is absolutely amazing that is a 10 out of 10. Carter was very intense and did like the fact he got a bit softer at some point.

Slightly dark with the beatings he gives bella but overall even he went too far he realised his mistake and didn’t do it again. The plot on this was good and kept me on my toes. Shame we have to wait so long for the next book.

This book came up as a recommendation on Instagram. The 1st few characters were ok, had me interested, but the more you read, the more events are just repeating themselves. The lead female character is so weak,by the end of the book I wish she had circum to the attempts on her life.
