The material provides the needed qualities crucial for a the design of a Tarptent featuring a compact pack size and light self-weight which can be pitched in under 3 minutes and can be transported in the cargo pocket of the trousers.The Pentagon Tarptent offers hikers, climbers and soldiers a 270 ° shelter that is light and compact enough to be carried permanently, even in the clothings pockets, and can be set up quickly with ease. Due to its shape of a pentagon, the Tarptent can be pitched with only 5 tentstakes and a stick or tied to a tree or another, higher pitching point. The width can be flexibly adjusted by the height. Colored markers on the major loops also make it easier, to errect the Tarptent correctly, even under adverse conditions.To build the tent, the first two RED labeled loops are fixed to the ground. Then the frontside with the GREEN labeled loop is braced with a stick or to a tree at about 160cm height. Thereafter, only the blue marked loops must be fixed to the ground, and the Tarptent is good to go.
