I ordered this amplifiers with plans to use it for a Halloween costume where my face would be covered and voice muffled. I've got to find a new mic for it because the included mic isn't the best quality. It doesn't seem to amplify voices at a mid range - it's either nothing or too dang loud. I'm not saying it doesn't have its uses; for addressing a small room of people, you could definitely do worse. The speaker box itself is a little bulky but comes with a strap and a clip to keep it on your person, which I could easily hide with some creative costuming. Just need a better mic.

Bought this for teaching group fitness/spin class. It really didn’t project sound well enough.

The media could not be loaded. I had low expectations for this speaker since it was not expensive. But when I received it, I was surprised. It got the job done. Its job was to be a microphone for my water aerobics classes. No, it wasn’t in the water. I placed it on a shelf on a surrounding wall, well away from water. And I teach from the pool deck. I bought the ~$55 amplifier that is wireless. However, it began to have a static popping sound after 9 months of use. I risked buying this inexpensive amplifier because it came with a one year warranty. So, I figured I had nothing to lose. I even bought the added insurance that will cover the amplifier after the 1Mii warranty ran out. But here I am, 1Mii is out of stock and has been for several months and they don’t know if they will get anymore. But they also refuse to give me a refund because it’s past the 30 days. Nor will they give me a comparable product. So, they can’t replace it, nor will they refund me. I am just out. I understand that 9 months of use on this cheap product seems pretty good. My point is that THEY ADVERTISE 1 YEAR OF IT WORKING!! Not my assumptions. THEY offer this. So, they should not just say it….they should do it. So buyer beware. If they lie and false advertise about this, what else are they lying about?

I bought this as a backup to help with tours I give as part of the Education team at the zoo where I work. For the low cost, I wasn’t expecting much but this unit has performed very well even when our much more expensive unit was cutting in and out. This is so quick and easy to activate — no confusing pair-up sequence or distracting start-up audio, just turn on the speaker and press a button on the headset and you’re live in less than 3 seconds. The sound quality is clear and it’s easy to control the volume. I did get a little feedback when I walked between the speaker and my audience, but nothing horrible. I’ve been using it in an outdoor theater surrounded by ambient conversations and animal noises, and I am very happy with the performance of this unit. A colleague asked for the link to purchase three more for her department!
