Copydex 1652 Adhesive Jar 125ml

It's a shame that nearly all good adhesives are deliberately packaged so that you useit once and the rest goes off.This stuff is very expensive unless you have to use a lot of it up quickly: if you try to keep it as a standby, you will be let down when you most need it. In nearly every one of these I've bought, the brush is stapled into the holder, and the staple cracks and splits the plastic, so the brush flares out and is useless. At the same time, the sturdy looking cap, is so badly threaded that it will not screw flat down, and the ammonia escapes even if you keep it in a fridge, so much of the contents has set and glued up the brush holder, when you come to use it again.It's a shame the stuff is spoiled by the pot, as it really is so very useful. First choice for sticking cloth, leather, and card, and very useful for coating slippery objects so they don't slide off things

Copydex is a pretty good all round glue & is suitable for most jobs. most recently, I wrapped some felt around a spectacle case (having first got the shape I wanted with a hacksaw ) ,glued it at the back & put some black tape over the join where it was not seen. Job done ! I bought this product because i know it to be strong & it dries clear. It is ALWAYS wise to do a TEST STRIP of the 2 surfaces , especially for tension.

Suitable for purpose

Not quite as I remembered - because the "smell" isn't anywhere near as strong as it was when I was a Child. I'm NOT a Glue-Sniffer by the way !!No matter... this stuff has always been good at sticking stuff together, and I've used it to repair Carpets that my Dog has seen fit to rip to shreds, AND it actually seems to be a Dog-Repellent too !! So it does MORE than what it says on the Bottle !!

Very strong and durable glue. I use it to stick my rubbers onto the wooden blade (as I play table tennis) and copydex works just fine.After 2 years, the copydex has not dried out in the bottle and still sticks! The bond that it creates between the material is very strong and flexible meaning that you can actually separate the materials if you wished to.Would highly recommend this glue as it can be used in a wide range of applications.

This stuff is not available in the U.S., and a web search didn't turn up a manufacturer for me. But it's common in England. It is great for making clothing repairs: much stronger than any American 'equivalent'. Patches will last through washings! I know people use it for various things, but that's my main use, and it's very good. You use it like contact cement: coat both bits of material where they will join, let dry for c. 10 minutes, then bring together.
