GOOD for average homeowner NOT professional - THIS WORKS, all of it. Ear muff system is a pain in a butt to use, otherwise 5 stars for THIS LOW price. I'm a long time shooter, and ear muffs seem MORE or better than 22 db reduction. Fit is good adjustable, visor and screen good. It's a cheap helmet system that provides an average homeowner adequate protection in most circumstances.

Helmet assembly is pretty straightforward (insertion of inner liner and hearing protectors); however, insertion of the visor bracket is another matter. First photo (one showing a hand) was taken from the included instructions and is incorrect. If you push the visor mounting bracket studs into the hearing protector mounts as far as they show, the visor will not move all the way down and lock. Second photo is from the box the item came in and shows the correct position of the visor mount studs in the ear protector mount. Upshot: there should not be any of the visor stud jutting past the rear edge of the ear protector mount. As such, the visor can be pulled all the way down and clicks into place; otherwise, it hangs up on the bill of the helmet. Haven't tried it in the field yet, but it fits my big head (7 3/4) comfortably and securely. Comes with a clear and a screen visor, and I guess you could wear them simultaneously or separately. Changing them out is easy. Satisfied with my purchase.

This thing is better quality and more comfortable than I thiught it would be. I've only worn it for half hour stretches.. but no ear muff discomfort when I remove it. The screen works well and doesn't need cleaning tike the clear plastic face shield does.

I bought this for some serious chainsaw work and weed trimming that I do on the reg. I had another one but it flew out of my truck one day when I left the tailgate down. The shield and ear covers work and fit well. 4 stars because the sheiks could go down further. The hat is adjustable and easy to fit your fat head. The best thing about this get up is that I can use it when I'm out putting seed in our dozen bird feeders. Lately the birds have gotten quite tame and aggressive. They love to swoop down to try to peck out my eye or grab an ear lobe while I'm feeding their sorry butts. That male cardinal especially had it in for me! However, it brings the little lady quite a lot of pleasure to see their feathery little selves eating up all that seed (and our paychecks). So, I just put the gear on and feed them birds to keep my baby happy. It gives me great satisfaction that nary a one bird can get to my face with their razor sharp beaks while I'm wearing this protective gear.You need this for all your outside protective needs. The price is right and the birds won't bite.
