Ok
It is a good job there are two items in this order as one of them snapped in two at the hinge after only 2 uses. The remaining one seems fine and I have used it many times with great success, it makes a great omelette.

Not life changing
I'd wanted one of these for a while, hoping it'd convince me to eat a healthy breakfast more often. It's quite fiddly as the included instructions only really work for a single egg omlette and suggest you experiment with your microwave and amount of eggs as needed. Only really worth it if you're set on making pretty filled omlettes, otherwise scrambling them in a regular bowl gives similar results without cluttering the kitchen drawers with unnecessary plastic. That being said, it's a lot easier to clean cooked egg off this plastic surface.

It is hard plastic, but it is already cracked by the hinges
I just received them today, and tried to use it, but unfortunately when I was going to make plain omelette tried to close it, just heard the hinges was cracked, a bit disappointed about the quality.

2 in the pack - well made and decent value...
Though I'd seen these around, until now I'd not tried a Microwave Omelette Maker. I tend not to use the microwave for that many things - in fact, it's probably rather under-utilised. But perhaps will be better used in the future now I have these.I got this pack of 2 BPA-free omelette makers from Pendeford Housewares as I used to like an occasional omelette but I've gone right off them since my partner started cooking an almost daily omelette in lard which to me, as a vegetarian, smells dreadful, looks incredibly grease-laden and is certainly not the oil most people would use for this purpose. I blame low carb/high fat regimens for this kind of off-piste creativity.I thought these omelette makers would be a quick way to knock together a much drier omelette. I greased both sides of the maker with a little butter - not too much is needed. It's simple to use and full instructions are on the card wrap but, as it says, you need to experiment to get the omelette exactly to your liking. I like these though - and, given you're getting a pair, in my view they're well made and decent value for money.

Quick, easy way of making an omelette
This is a set of two microwave omelette makers. They appear well made and are easy to wash up after use.You start by greasing the omelette maker using butter or cooking oil. Then crack your eggs into a mixing bowl and whisk them up with some salt and pepper. I use two large eggs but you could use three for a bigger omelette if you like. There is no need to add milk or water, and personally I wouldn't recommend this. Then pour the mixture evenly into the two compartments and put the omelette maker in the microwave. The instructions recommend giving it an initial 60 seconds on full power but I didn't find this enough with my 850W machine and gave it an extra 10.Once you have done this you remove it from the microwave and add any fillings you want. Cheese and ham are both good, and I have also used cooked mushrooms. You then close the omelette maker and return it to the microwave for a further 30 seconds (according to the instructions). Again, I found this wasn't quite enough in my case and gave it 40 instead. What you end up with is a perfectly decent, fluffy omelette, though it doesn't brown on the outside and you don't get any crispy edges. Personally I didn't like it quite as much as a traditional pan-cooked omelette, but this method is certainly quick and easy, as is the washing-up afterwards.Overall, it's a good, quick way of making an omelette - and if you are limited to a microwave (as in many workplaces) it might be your only option. Personally I won't be using it all the time, though.

Quick and easy to use - I have omelettes more often now
I’m delighted with these microwave omelette makers; it’s so quick and easy to make omelettes now.You get a pack of two plastic omelette makers and they look kind of like a purse with a little clasp and a hinge. You just prepare your omelette mixture and pour it equally into each lightly greased half of the dish. Pop it in the microwave for 1 minute, add your filling, flip the lid closed and cook for another 30 seconds. The clasp doesn’t hold the rising egg mixture as you can see from my photo of the product in the microwave but it keeps the omelette together and it keeps its shape. The omelette slips out easily and the omelette maker is quick and easy to clean ready for next time.I think they’re well worth it for £9.99 (at the time of review). I like omelettes but it’s not worth firing up the hob for just one, but now I can have one whenever I want.
