These were not as expected. This is my size but I did not like the string. I removed it because it gave me too tight a feeling. After removing the string, It loosened up more and made me feel more comfortable. The size could have been a little bit larger in my hips due to adding pockets. It's still nice to wear around the house.

Nice shorts. Already coming losing thread along the bottom of the legs. Won't buy again but enjoy wearing. Just cheaply made.

I have lots of cotton shorts that have been fine for the normal summer weather. But this year is anything but normal with 100+ temps on many days. Even though I'm in a downsizing mode clothes-wise, I had to get lightweight shorts to run errands and maybe go to fast casual dining on these blazing hot afternoons. These shorts fit the bill and are the top quality I've come to expect from Real Essentials. They fit well, are sewn competently and look like they will last for years, though I absolutely hope this unbearable heat doesn't continue for years. Whoever said (Donald Trump!) that global warming was a myth is completely wrong. If I have a quibble, it's the colors they put together. I would love a gray and black combination without the uh, I don't even know what color to call the mauvey-brown hue of the third pair of shorts. It pretty much doesn't go with anything but black or white. But I'll keep those for my stay-in-the house days. Otherwise, I love them!

I dont know how they will hold up to wash and wear but I just got them and tried them on and they are INCREDIBLY soft and comfy. And also flattering and don't really bunch up anywhere. I ordered a size up because I like baggy but I could have probably ordered my size for a solid fit. Very pleased. Softest shorts I own.

When washing, I learned from another review, that you should always tie the waist before you wash and dry on all drawstring waisted shorts and pants or you might loose them inside and not be able to get it back to tie later.I ordered these in a larger size than recommended, for two reasons: in case they shrink and to be comfortable to sleep in.I'm glad they have pockets too. Good products (3!) for the price.

I don’t understand why people would wear lounge shorts outside, but I guess to each her own. I got these as house pants/pajamas and they serve the purpose at a good value. They didn’t fit perfectly in the hips at first but they have give and after all they are pajamas.

I am very happy with these shorts. Very cute, and you cannot beat the price. They fit great, and I love the pockets .. very handy!!

These shorts are so comfy. Great value for the money. Elastic waistband w tie. You almost forget u have em on. Soooo comfortable!!

I purchased these shorts for working out at home, and wanted something that wasn't biker shorts (because they ride up, are restrictive, and not very flattering on me).I find these shorts are not all that flattering, because they can cling in some areas, but holy cow, are they COMFY. I find myself wearing these around the house, and lounging about in them.My only gripes are the blue ones are very odd compared to the other 2 pairs (you will see what I mean by this) and the strings can easily get pulled out in the wash if you do not tie them together.This would be 5 stars if the blue pair wasn't so different from the other 2, and if they were a little less clingy.

very comfortable. made of soft cotton. I wanted my shorts to be loose so got one size bigger and it's perfect for me.one thing, I received a set of completely wrong colours which was not nice at all.
