This is a very effective little heater and at 7p per hour per bar it is cheap to run!. Whilst the stand has a cur=t off switch so if you knock it over it will turn off, I do think it is slightly precarious and needs to stand on a hard surface, not carpet. But with the price of electricity being so high, we find it really useful to warm up areas without worrying about the bill !

I have bought several of these over the past winters to use as office heaters to save putting on all the central heating. In general they have a lifespan of around three to four months before you hear that crackling noise that lets you know one of the bars is going to die. This brand has to be the shortest life yet though. It lasted three weeks! So yes, it is one of the cheapest currently available, but it also has a tiny lifespan.

Three heat settings, to be honest, the 2nd seeing is ideal for getting my living room (I live in a 1930s semi detached house). The rotary setting is quiet and spreads the heat around. 2 bars works out at approx 20p an hour to run. There's a safety cutout on the bottom as well for piece of mind. (You will need a hard surface to sit it on otherwise the safety cutout activates and the item won't work. ) The item is tall but thin so it'll easily go best to a walk and be out of the way and when it's on, you don't need any additional lighting! It is really bright. I can't comment on the lifespan of the heater as I've only just got it..All in all, excellent value for money in my opinion.

This heater is tiny but packs a punch in terms of heat output, considering it’s so small and light. It is a bit flimsy - you have to pick it up and hold it to turn the switch which is fairly stiff, but it’s doing a good job of heating up small spaces. Fingers crossed it lasts!

Honestly I don’t often write reviews but I felt I had to. In the past two months I’ve had two of these. The first one the bar stopped working within a month. So I opted for a replacement as i thought maybe it was a one off. Got the replacement and within a few days the top bar dropped then it set on fire. Honestly please do not buy this halogen heater.

I appreciate there must be some QC and/or longevity issues from reading some reviews, but I can only go on my experience. Mine works great and puts out a good amount of heat even on a single bar. At the price, I'll be happy if it lasts me the winter.I like that it's only 400 - 800W which makes it economical compared to the 900 - 2000W of many space heaters. I went for a halogen heater because it is silent; a fan heater would drive me up the wall with constant noise.The tip over switch works well on my medium pile carpet. I was expecting to have to put it on a wooden board or something, so that was a bonus.The power lead is 1.2M, which is just long enough for me as it has to clear quite a deep desk in my home office. A little longer would allow a bit more flexibility though.All in all, I can't fault it.

At the beginning works brilliant, heats the small room up very quickly, but sadly broke and not working after 1 moths.

I bought 2 of these heaters in the sale for £8.49 each and I'm very happy with them as my gas boiler packed up and waiting for a new one to be fitted 🤬. So far I've only used just 1 bar on each heater because they pump out a good amount of heat for small rooms as 2 bars was to warm. Obviously if the rooms are bigger you will need to use the 2 bars and maybe keep interior doors closed. Honestly I thought they were going to be rubbish reading some of the reviews but I'm over the moon with them for the price of cheap pub meal.👍🙂
