I literally just opened this a half hour ago and it's already life changing. I'm double jointed and left handed, so I get constant hand cramps when writing for extensive periods of time and especially when I need to write quickly. I never really thought about it before until I started taking classes again after 6 years and my hand was cramping so easily. My thumbs being double jointed means that my joint can pop forward and backward freely, so there's no support in that joint and it's difficult to keep in place when writing. This is seriously life changing for me, can't wait to use this in my class. I'm out doing errands right now and it feels so good to wear just driving around.

I love the product. I have purchased it twice. But both items eventually cracked/separated between the gray and black. On the inside between the thumb and forefinger.

I have been struggling with thumb wrist pain but unable to find a brace that offers support AND does not interfere with my ability to do my job. Fell in love with this product instantly. when I lost it 3 days later I overnighted a replacement because I didn't want to be without.a bit more expensive (especially now that I have bought 2) but WORTH IT. The velcro stays tight. The sleeve that comes with it helps with sweating and it gives exactly the support I needed.

This VELPEAU CMC Joint Stability Brace is my second brace of this kind, and while the purchase price was attractive, its' longevity falls very short. The PUSH MetaGrip CMC Thumb brace is still going strong after 16 mos, but the VELPEAU has separated at the point of support after only 4 mos of use. I have alternated between these two braces, but have worn them in similar activities, wherever my chronic arthritic joint needs protection and support. If you have a compromised thumb joint, I strongly recommend using a brace of this design to offer comfort, support and protection. Spend the extra money upfront and go with the PUSH Meta CMC!

I returned this because it did not fit, would not conform and was overall horrible

I think the product is of good quality and may turn out to serve my needs for intermittent, daytime CMC support. However, it was sold as "new" on Amazon and received with original packaging, but some wear and adhering red yarns show it to have been worn and returned. It is in very good condition, but is not a new brace.It was sold by "Valpeau flex"

I’m a massage therapist and I wore this brace for a few months and my clients didn’t know it was on my hand. Helped a lot to ease the strain on that thumb joint.

Very recently, I developed pain at the CMC joint. I believe having to don a compression sock daily for 3+ months after having ankle surgery over taxed this joint. I am a retired therapist so I immediately was able to diagnose my problem. I ordered this (as I didn’t want to pay an exorbitant amount for something so simply designed) and this was costly enough. I received it this morning and immediately was able to use my left thumb without having pain after putting this on. I can’t speak to its durability yet however for now, I am pleased. No stabilizing device for the thumb is completely comfortable at the web space between the thumb and index finger yet this one is tolerable. It’s definitely worth a try especially if pain is localized at the CMC articulation. I like the fact that it is lightweight and not hot to wear especially since I live in Florida.

This product works great to stabilize the base of your thumb and relieves pain but I had the same quality issue that others reported. The rubber began separating from the plastic after wearing it 2 weeks and only periodically. Disappointed.
