AWEIY230 Wireless Bluetooth Speaker, Outdoor Portable Stereo Speaker, Support TF Card, BUILT-IN MIC with CVC6.0 + DSP noise reduction, Handsfree Calling (Black)

This is a bluetooth speaker which connects to a any bluetooth enabled device. I purchased it to allow me to play my music from my iphone (spotify, itunes, jango, tunein radio, etc). The speaker on the phone is not good enough and I wanted something portable.- The delivery was timely and i received it within 2 working days.- It is well packaged as you can see in the photo- The design of the speaker is quite nice and gives the feel of a proper speaker (many other speakers are cubes or cilinders). It also has a carry hook if you want to hold it or attach it to your bag, etc (see photo)- Buttons are self explanatory and located on top of the speaker: play, volume up/down, on/off. The instructions are quite straightforward and are in English and Chinese. Simple: 1. Connect to charging cable and source, 2 turn on 3. Pair with smartphone 4. play music- I found Pairing very easy to do. No issues and no password needed for my iphone 6. I used the spotify app and played music instantaneously.- So far so good. I noticed that when i press the 'on/off' button the first stage is going to a radio tuner. I didnt see any instructions on how to use this radio function. Would be great it it does work. When changing functions it has an automated female voice which provides feedback on the actions (e.g, shutting down, goodbye, etc)- The quality of the music is good. As you can expect with a speaker of this range. It is not going to be Bose, but it is enough to listen to music on the go, or even be your handsfree sound in the car.- I tried to also have a call through it as a handsfree talk device (like a speakerphone) but the mic didnt seem to work too well from more than a few feet away. The person i was talking to said that i sounded very far away. I will provide an update on this once i have tested it multiple times as a handsfree device- There are a few inputs in the back including a usb for charging and an audio jack (cable included) in case you dont have bluetooth connectivity so you can connect directly to the speaker from your phone, tablet. There is a USB port in the back as well - which could possibly be used to insert a USB stick or other disk device with music on it to play directly from it to the speaker. I havent tried this yet.- Overall, i like the design, ease of use, sound quality - and as a speaker at this price range it does well. There are much lower priced alternatives on amazon, but some are really low quality (tried a few) so better to spend a little more for a good speaker.

I wasn't sure if something so small would have the power I wanted, but this surprised me. It paired quickly with my iPhone and within seconds I was able to have my music playing in the garden, loud enough to be heard over the neighbour's lawnmower. It has a a reassuringly hefty feel to it, not heavy but sturdy. It worked perfectly well hanging from the strap and had a good range via bluetooth. A good value speaker which does exactly what it says on the box!
