I've been using insoles in my walking shoes for a while now - not because I have any particular foot ailments but just to add some extra comfort.These particular ones are considerably firmer than most, with a decidedly contoured profile definitely geared towards arch and heel support. I wouldn't say that they provide too much in the way of extra heel shock absorption, but the defined cup does keep it in place better. As these are sized to fit, no trimming is required and the 9-9.5 ones I ordered fitted my size 9 walking shoes perfectly. They are a bit on the thick side for my formal leather Oxfords though.Whilst I did notice the additional comfort these insoles provide whilst walking, there isn't any of that 'squidgy-ness' you get from most memory foam ones which, admittedly, isn't an effect that appeals to everybody. However, these do provide some additional comfort and a definite improvement in arch support and if that's what you need then these would do the job - albeit at a price.

Bought these for my partner who needed extra support in her walking boots on her long dog walks though forest terrain. No more niggling pain in the arches.So good that have bought another pair for her to interchange in her daily shoes.Highly recommend these.

My wife has had a problem with foot pain for some time and has tried quite a number of insoles from various manufacturers in recent months.Unfortunately, she found that the inflexible TPU arch supports on these insoles are too hard to be comfortable. She has abandoned them and gone back to ones that provide arch support in a less rigid way.Of course, there may be people who want/need very rigid support but, in view of my wife’s experience, I feel I can only give these insoles a three-star rating.

It a while to get used to but has changed everything for me , have a stroke one side and hip , severe back issues, they just work , absolutely perfect. They just fit perfectly in all my trainers and boots .

The heel area and arch areas are quite sturdy and it holds your foot as it should. The only flexible section is the front one, near the toes, where the foot bends as you step.They definitely not the most comfortable but they seem to do what they were meant to do.The bottom part of the insole does not seem to be very anti-slippery as it is not like a rubber, but given the shape and rigidity of them I assume they will stay in place.
