Looks Well Made for 40# Class Inshore Trolling
Just received a pair of these and they look quite nice. Well made and should work well when trolling for stripers and bluefish.One thing I did notice. When compared to the online images it appears (estimate) the SS tube wall thickness for the holders I received is less than what is shown in the pictures. I measured the tube wall thickness at 0.038" (1.0mm) which appears a bit thin for offshore action.Otherwise, these look nice (especially at the sale price) and the feature for adjusting the rod angles is well made (same design as used for VHF antenna mounts).

Very Strong
I was skeptical that the adjustment might be week.It's any thing but!!I was fishing in 200 ft, and stuck a BIG electric reel in this holder. I caught alot of big fish with it. I even caught a BIG Bull Shark ( 9ft. mabe ?) with it. It took a bit but I brought him in and cut him loose. I hooked several other sharks that broke off after a good fight. (using mono.)I will order another one. Capt. E.T.
