Impressive, most impressive
*Reference images for size comparisons*After hours and hours of research, videos, and reviews on gaming mice I settled on this Aria XD7 by Fantech. I enjoy using this mouse for my hybrid fingertip & relaxed claw grip style. You can palm grip this mouse pretty well if you have smaller hands. A straight fingertip style is good but its best suited for a claw grip style. Most importantly this mouse fits great for my lower end medium male hands. I do not have those quarterback or basketball star hands; my life is over :(I have been using this mouse wirelessly for a month straight, just about every day for 3+ hours.Overall, the battery life is very good. I charge a little over once a week, 7-9 days. The switches are great, very responsive, and great for my slow set for double clicking for guaranteed double clicks. The mouse wheel feels just right. It's not smooth rolling and gives you solid control. The polling rate is at 1000hz, it has a very good sensor; a pixart 3395 if memory serves me right. The software is good. It is exactly what I would expect for a performance gaming mouse. I do enjoy the customization with the DPI settings. I am a fan of the simplistic RGB lighting too. I am also a fan of the fact that the RGB can be customized beyond just a few colors, you can set pulsating or breathing responses at any duration you may choose. You can even set macro key sets with this software, not really important for me, but I am sure someone out there will appreciate the detail to give a user more options in the competitive atmosphere.I have had zero connectivity issues wirelessly. Thee has been no drop connections, not one. The Bluetooth tech is not there IMO. It lags and takes time connect. Setting up the Bluetooth was easy to do but it took more time than I would have expected it would take. The only issue outside of poor Bluetooth Tech (not the mouse's fault) was in finding the software program on the Fantech site. If memory serves me right, it wasn't a simple task. I had to do some hunting, or a few changes in the URL address words from another mouse software download location. Once I got it downloaded it has worked great.I do like the magnetic cover changes that come with this mouse. Two different styles for the palm area. The feel of the mouse clicks are very good. Kailh 8.0 switches hold up great with above average response times.Build quality is pretty spot on here. I have had no noticeable issues. It has a light feel to it that gives the perception that it's brittle but it's not. Now hell I could throw this like a baseball at the wall and I will destroy it but with normal usage it holds together very well.Lastly this mouse is a great value for what you will receive. Is it the best "top" tier competitive gaming mouse? No. Is it great for standing your own in fps, casual gaming, and some lite mmos? Hell yes.Overall, a great buy. I have even humored the thought of purchasing another one.

Comfortable
I bought this for the shape, and I like it well enough. Build quality is solid. Clicks are nice, but kinda loud. The magnetic shell is definitely a gimmick, but not a bad one - it lets you swap out the back shell and access the wireless dongle without unscrewing anything. The magnets are also quite secure so there should be no shifting around during normal use.It came loaded with v1.0 firmware, so I updated it using the v1.1 firmware from the Fantech website. The process was pretty straightforward.

Comfortable, light weight, quality feel.
I received this mouse today as a replacement for a defective Logitech G305 which I returned. (The G305 had a jammed up mouse wheel).Comparing the two:- Comfort - the Aria fits my hand well, the G305 felt a little too low, forcing more of a 'claw grip' than I typically use.- Build Quality - the Aria feels sturdy and reliable in my hand. The buttons on the G305 felt slightly flimsy. The Aria scroll wheel has a consistent feel and moves easily. The G305 scroll wheel was defective. The interchangeable rear cover feels sturdy and is held firmly in place by a small magnet. The PTFE mouse skids move over my desk noticeably more smoothly than the G305.- Assembly - the G305 was ready to use out of the box. The Aria came with optional anti slip grips - rubberized stickers - that had to be installed manually if desired. The process was simple enough, but did require a steady hand to ensure proper alignment.- Software - the Logitech software was available for Mac OS. The Aria software is windows only. The settings are apparently stored on the mouse itself - meaning that if you configure it on a windows PC it will remember those setting when re-attached to your mac. I have not tested this. For my purposes the default settings work well.- Click Quality - the G305 felt 'fine'. The Aria feels far better. The clicks are very positive and satisfying.- DPI adjustment - the G305 uses a top mounted button. This is convenient for changing modes on-the-fly - but also opens up the door to accidentally changing the setting. The button on the Aria is located underneath - safe from accidental presses...but almost impossible to use 'on-the-fly'.- Overall Experience - the G305 i recieved was defective, but even ignoring the mouse wheel, the overall build quality felt poor compared to the Aria. That said, the G305 was also available at a significantly lower price point.Value - had the G305 not been defective it would have offered slightly better value for money than the Aria. The Aria feels like a much better product - but that is also reflected in the price.Overall I am happy with this purchase. For occasional casual use, a (non-defective) G305 may be fine, but for heavier use, the Aria feels significantly more durable and solid in my hand.

Overpriced office mouse
I really had some hope in this mouse being a good sub $100 mouse, but sadly was let down by numerous issues. For starters- the default debounce time is set to 12ms, which for anyone looking to use this for games is horrible. So, I managed to look through their website, albeit a little sloppy, and find the software to lower this by 10ms. That should be the end of that right? Unfortunately not, as the problem of the mouse just not registering clicks on a regular basis didn't seem to subside. I don't know if it is just the kale 8.0 switches they used, or the mouse itself. Regardless, I don't recommend anyone buy this mouse, either buy a under $50 one that would more than likely outperform this by miles. If not, then spend the extra $20-50 on a mouse that is actually respectable. Stay clear of Fantech, I should have listened to the numerous tech reviewers who said likewise.
