Streamlight 14155 Sidewinder NVG Mount (Tactical) (Works with DOD, NATO and ISAF Combat Helmets)

I have an Ops-Core helmet and it fits perfectly on the nvg mount.

Works as advertised.

It’s a good mount if you’re not going to put it anywhere else or have NVGs mounted. There’s a little wiggle/play on the mount when in my HHV and ACH rhino mount. I would recommend if you’re gonna mount the Streamlight Sidewinder, and plan on having NVGs in the near future, I would pass on buying this. However, this does the job of holding the Sidewinder

If you are not using an NVG it clips in the shroud and is a nice piece of kit to have, for when you need to go searching for things. Picatinni clip in piece also works well.

Yes, these mounts work. The price isn't all that unreasonable, but however reasonable the price is it is only really worth it if the item performs as claimed.Do they? Well, yes and no. Yes, they mount the light to the helmet. But no, they don't mount confidently. Meaning, I want the spring on the release "plunger" to push back and push back firmly so I know the mount is going to stay put. But the release (on both mounts I bought) hang; they push in (to release) too easily and the spring doesn't always confidently push back to securely lock the mount. More often than not I find I have to pull the release out to ensure it's locked. I want the spring for the helmet mount portion to be as robust as the spring of the flashlight holder is.It's also made with what seems are really cheap components.Streamlight needs to do better with this mount.Buy it if you need it. Just be aware of the potential issues you may face (as I did). Hope this short review helps; just wanted to shine a light on the the problems I've encountered.3 stars.

Must have if running on your helmet, much better than the ARC Rail or helmet clip adapters IMO. Recommend pairing it with a counterweight.

It is toy level. Not for a real application. No airsoft, and definitely not for duty use.
