works well
I bought this to replace an identical extractor (15 yrs old) where the iris had stopped opening and closing. Replacement was straightforward and it's good to have it working again.

Expensive and shutter doesn't close properly
Not impressed. Spent a fortune on this (low voltage version) and installed it in conjunction with a Monsoon EnergySaver External Grille (also expensive). Shutters do not close properly unless "assisted" by me! Photo shows the shutters as they were just a few moments ago (fan has been off overnight). There's a gap of about 10mm allowing a nice steady draught through. I've had the fan cover (that contains the shutters) off, stripped and cleaned it, lasts for a few days and then the same old problem. I would suggest avoiding these, although the concept is appealing, in practice they just don't work.

Exactly what you need for a small shower room
Lovely fan but very expensive and unfortunately you also need to purchase on top the controller unit - making the price eye watering

Noisy and timer and humidity sensor is troublesome
I bought this fan because it promised to be low noise. It is better than the one it replaced, but not by much. I was expecting it to be much quieter.I bought the humidity timer module and this was also a disappointment. Very fiddly to adjust with a screw driver when perched on a ladder. For the money I would have liked a digital display to set the time and humidity instead of a lot of trial and error and suffering much domestic criticism in the process. This fan looks quite cool, but it is overpriced for what it is. The market for low voltage extractor fans is much smaller than for regular voltage. Less choice.

I would not recommend
I did fit one of these. I feel it is overpriced for what you get, not robust and noisy. When it conked out I did in fact purchase another so that I would not have to make another type of hole in the wall, but my electrician found one with the same performance far less finicky and about less than half the price, so shop around. I would not recommend it

Smart looking Ceiling Fan
Much smarter and a lot less intrusive than your average bathroom fan. Easy to fit. When you've spent more than £10,000 on a new bathroom you want something that looks the part.
