Excellent color quality in an LED retrofit lamp
People who are critical of how LED retrofit lamps look should stop buying cheap lamps for their homes. An average "general service lamps" have a Color Rendering Index (CRI) of about 80. That's okay for non-critical areas on the exterior of your home and your garage, but if you want to use a lamp on the interior - you need better.LED lamps last a long time, which means you'll probably be living with your purchase for years. As a lighting professional, I recommend only using lamps with a CRI of 90+. Those lamps (like the LEDVANCE Sylvania LED TruWave Natural Series PAR16 Light Bulb in this review) have excellent color. Why settle for less?

Amazing except it flickers in stove hood on low
I bought these for a Broan Allure stove hood to replace old incandescents that came with the house. They are bright, fit perfectly, and are energy efficient. However, they have a fatal flaw in that they flicker terribly on low. On high they are fine but they don't dim much and just flicker obnoxiously on low. I am keeping them for now and just using the high/bright setting but eventually I want to find ones that are usable on low.

Don’t buy if you don’t have a dimmer switch
Bought these for my range hood to save heat and electricity from the old halogen lights. They won’t completely turn off since I don’t have a dimming switch which is frustrating so I kind wasted my money.

Doesn’t work well with my installed dimmer switch
Some LED bulbs are not compatible with our installed electronic dimmer switches. They refuse to turn off. Unfortunately this is true for this bulb and so I will be returning it

Not Outdoor Friendly
We purchased these lightbulbs for our outdoor up lights on the front of our house. The description reads that they are for indoor or outdoor use, however, after a rainstorm, they stopped working, and one lightbulb even filled with water. We definitely do not recommend purchasing these if you need them for any outdoor light fixtures.
