I dont think I understood what this was for
I dont like rating things down due to possible user error, so Im giving it a blind 5 stars, but it didnt do what i wanted it to, and its too cheap to waste money on returning it. Heres what I wanted to do:I have a PC that has a HDMI graphics card and a KVM switch that has a VGA port, I wanted to be able to share monitors between a laptop and a PC through the KVM, but the PC wasng being detected by the monitor with this cable. for that particular monitor I ended up bypassing the KVM and going HDMI to HDMI. The cable has gone ito a box of PC spares as i may find a use for it in the future.I personally think this was a lack of understanding on my part on what the use case for this cable was, so I take full responsibility for that.

Watch out, suspected scam
Very disappointed. Waited almost a week for delivery and didn’t work. The worst thing is that to get a refund they expect you to send it back! More effort than its worth but I’m going to send back as from reading other reviews this seems to be a regular occurrence. Scam if you ask me!!

Waste of money
Just bought this to connect my laptop to my monitor which has a VGA connection. Appears its a HDMi to VGA adapter I need rather than this cable. £10 down the drain... Waste of money. Before buying this, read through section that details all the things this cable can't connect. I wonder what it actually can connect!!

Doesn’t work for me 🙁
Tried to connect my laptop via the HDMI port to my monitors VGA port but it didn’t work. My laptop didn’t even recognise anything plugged in. Tried my sons HDMI adapter with a VGA cable and it all worked. Sending back and ordered the adapter and VGA cable separately.Would have been nice if only it worked 🤪

Not fit for purpose
It doesn't work on my system. I don't get any picture. These things never work on modern operating systems.I just bought a new graphics card which had VGA and HDMI ports so I can use it on my old Monitor which only has VGA connection.

Disappointed!
I cant review this item. I bought this to use from my laptop to a 21" monitor. Unfortunately it didn't work, the monitor was indicating that there wasn't a cable attached. I attached the cable several times before giving up and having to buy a different version.

Excellent for older equipment that has no or limited HDMI Inputs.
Works perfectly. Ideal for older TV's without additional HDMI input.
