I’ve dyed my hair dark for a little over 20 years it fades as normal so I’ve always just retouched the roots as I am a natural mushroom looking dark blonde I never bother to dye the ends I’m always in the sun as I live in Florida. I have been trying to grow my hair back out since I had a moment and chopped it all off and I didn’t realize how wild my hair looked as I usually do have it up so I didn’t realize how bad the ends we’re. I was tired of dying my roots and wanted to go back to my natural color or qs close as possible so I can grow it out. the before picture is a dark chocolate brown faded out horribly by the sun the after picture is my hair now and it is perfect!!! by no means was it only this hair dye so to achieve this I did use two boxes of color oops and follow the instructions or you will not see good results it faded to a medium carrot orange as expected then used the age beautiful bleach ONE round (45 minutes 20 volume developer) which took me to a light pale orange I did check it every 10 minutes to make sure my hair was not breaking or getting that gummy texture now here’s what I didn’t understand I originally bought this same exact dye from Sally’s with a 20 volume developer and my roots were green and it didn’t do anything to the end of my hair ! I was so confused because I thought it would work as 20 volume lifts color I decided to live with it and let it fade out which took a few weeks but my hair was still a yellow blonde which I hated so then decided to give this one more try because i really wanted a intense ash blonde and I remembered a 10 only deposit color it doesn’t lift! So I gave it one more shot left it on for 35 minutes and bam! My hair is perfect in every way no weird tones of blues or greens it’s toned every inch of my hair down I wish I would have left it in the full 45 just to be 100% sure for my own mental sakes buy I couldn’t be more happier with my hair! I will say if your trying to do the same thing invest in the L’Oreal bonding system, shampoo, conditioner, and bonding treatment. L’Oreal owns Redken and if you do your research, they have the same exact ingredients in both the red Ken acidic bonding system and L'Oréals bonding set . It has changed my hair drastically.

As the title states; this is a great light ash blonde and covers up my silver (not grey, grey is dull mine shines like silver). It doesn't have a strong odor.I've been purchasing this brand for several years and have colored my dirty blonde for 30+ years after getting tired of the sun bleach blonde it gets every summer. I know color, basically they're all the basic same ingredients then companies add there own extras such as biotin etc. This brand keeps my hair in great condition, doesn't cause breakage or overly dry hair. That being said, I also don't do my ends every time, over process etc., and I regularly condition my hair. I also maintain the color.People complain about the color fading, unfortunately colored hair no matter the color requires maintenance, its just a fact and no fault of this brand. If you want to color your hair for whatever reason; it WILL require maintenance. If you don't want the hassle don't color it! People need to have realistic expectations and understand hair color is not a one and done. Everything, everyday life affects the outcome of how long your color will last and the shade outcome.This particular shade will eventually lose its a ash color turning a bit more golden/beige blonde due to washing my hair being out in the sun etc. even using a sulfate free shampoo so I, as anyone should maintain the beautiful color with a toner for maintaining that ash blonde color.Also, be aware not only do you have to do regular maintenance you also have to be aware:1. Everyone's hair is different (same molecular structure) but different everyday factors, past treatments, environmental and personal care as well as texture. As such,2. Not everyone will get the exact shade "as seen" in the pictures. Dark hair vs. a lighter hair to start out with and your processing now and prior, computer screens displaying colors slightly different etc. Don't expect your results to be exactly the same, especially if you're not familiar with this shade and/or color processing.So, yes I highly recommend this brand, especially if you have older, grey or silver cover up needs! Just be realistic in your particular outcome and that colored hair requires maintenance and you will like this hair color brand!

I picked 9A light ash blonde. The before and after. Mind you the second picture it looks a bit darker in real life the photo makes it look super light. I always used wella t-18 or t-14 and I will never go back. This product was amazing. Just first if you havent used tthis type of dye before you NEED developer. Search 20 volumn developer. You mix equal amounts of developer to the tube of dye. If you have thicker or longer hair by TWO boxes. Mine is thin. My hair was a mess of orange tinted highlights, dark brown roots and basically multicolored. This probably wont lighten a very dark undyed hair. It seems to have a “toner” in it to blunt out orange/yellow previously highlighted hair or bleached out hair, hence the “ash” name. It could turn your hair slightly grayish. But im in love. I feel its more so for highlighted orangey yellowey hair.

This product covered the stubborn gray I have at the temples much better than other at home products including madison Reed. 1 box was just enough, next time I will get 2 kits and colors. I have pretty thick hair that is to the base of my neck, if you have really thick hair you probably need 2. I didnt give it 5 stars because the colors don't quite come out as light as you would think. I even went to their site to look at the colors. The dark blondes are more brown, but still a beautiful color. I highly recommend, but get a shade lighter than what you think you would pick. I'm going to try the next shade up next time. My hair was in great condition after coloring, I love that you get shampoo and conditioner with the kit. Make sure you order the kit and then go pick your color. You have to order/buy both.

The product is so easy to use. It goes a long way, takes well, has no strong smell, does not burn your scalp and provides a beautiful coverage, allowing your hair's own personality to come through. In other words it is not flat and heavy, it covers without smothering.

Why sell something that you can’t use whithout the other bit! Who sells developer separate to hair color! Seriously. Talk about making life difficult ….

Nice hair dye, I previously coloured my hair red and I wanted to go back to my dark brown hair. I tried the 3nn intense darkest brown and it perfectly covered all the red in my hair, the colour turned out close to jet black .

This was the exact colour I wanted. Very happy.

No grays just blond. Thats good!🎯
