The Long Ride Home Hardcover – Picture Book, 28 June 2022

During the pandemic, many friends moved away. It was a hard time for all of us. This book addresses all those big feelings beautifully that are so hard for little ones to express. The illustrations are so moving and rich in detail. If I could give this book 100 stars I would!

This is quite a good book for teaching kids about memory and friendship. It’s a way to validate their sadness of having a friend move, and letting them know how memories can be vivid encapsulations of their friendship. It feels like a pandemic-book, but I think something we all have/will experience. Super cute illustrations, too!
