Self-Service Your PowerTap
For those who are tired of taking their PowerTap to the bike shop each time their batteries die, this is an invaluable tool. I now keep spare batteries and this wrench around to change out the dead cells the moment after they die. It's easy.

A quirky tool that you have to buy
This is for the older Power Tap hub so I can't make too much noise about them designing a tool unique to their product just to be able to change the battery. Other companies do similar this but that doesn't mean it is either a good idea or that I like it. I needed to buy the wrench because I bought a bike that had an older Power Tap hub but no wrench. I wasn't going to try to use some standard hand tool to remove the cover and screw up an $800 hub. Buy it if you need it.

Should be included in the package
I hate that CyclOps makes me pay for this cheap piece of plastic. They should really just package this with the PT unit itself.

Works as expected
Was able to remove the cap with a strap wrench for the first battery change, but when it was time to change again, noting I tried worked. This tool worked as expected.

Apparently there are more than one old Powertap cap style...
Did not fit my old Powertap hub so I can't use it.
