Engaging in this sort of activity has never bothered me and I have experienced it many times. However I have witnessed a few people who have a sensitive disposition become somewhat frightened by it. I have experienced many premonitions which have eventually come true. Whilst I cannot fathom how it works and am convinced that nobody present has "pushed" the pointer it hasn't frightened me. I think any danger is in the mind of the user. Be careful but by all means give it a go and you may come to enjoy it.
