LG Nexus 5X 5.2-inch 16 GB SIM-Free Smartphone - Black

Very happy with the purchase. I had Vodafone Smart Prime prior to this which by no mistake is a brilliant phone and a great value for its price. But 1GB RAM was really becoming a nuisance. I wanted a mid range phone to replace that which is not so big (5.5+ inch is just too much for a phone) and can withstand a couple of years without any trouble. i alwasy wanted to try a google phone. almost bought nexus 4 and then 5 when they came out. infact was considering buying 5 to keep it light on my pocket but its too bulky and fat. otherwise that phone was much better then iphone 5s and samsung when they were released.Now about this phone. found this really cheap deal here and now the price has shot up again so am really glad on price front. The features are brilliant. 2GB ram even though could still be a limit but is more then sufficent for normal use. the Finerprint sensor is brilliant addon and has really made my life a easy as ever. my company email app Forces me to set a LONG password but this saves the day. just scan your finger and you are in. on slight disadvantage of having it on the back is that you need to be carrying the phone. it would have been a great advantage if it was at front so that you can quickly turn on the phone even when placed flat somewhere.another great thing is that i get latest and stock android os. and i love that. i dont have to jailbreak my phone anymore to try out the latest firmwares.screen is big enough even larger than 5. at times it becomes a discomfort holding it and reaching screen estate with one hand but i can live with that. at least i can watch netflix or my news app on a large screen. storage may become a challenge for others but i wont have a problem as i move my pictures to my NAS straight away. and i dont listen to music.Screen is super clear, very detailed and colors are crisp and clear. Camrea is above average but not the best one out there. battery life is also better but not best. if not in signifincant use, it survives about 1 and a half day or sometimes 2.I bought it about a month ago and this is one of the few purchases i am not regretting.

Don't get me wrong this was the best phone I've owned, amazing price for what you get.Sadly like many others, after a year I was getting bootloop problems and now it doesn't even charge or turn on. Really disappointed. A sad end to a seemingly great phone.

Back in the day I had the original Nexus 5, which unfortunately died on me about a year after getting it. I've had other phones since then but didn't like any of them nearly as much as that old Nexus 5, so when I saw the 5x still being sold, and for an alright price, I thought I'd pick one up. The phone has been working great so far, though that will inevitably change when the curse of the bootloop strikes.The only issue is that, when unpacking my phone, I realised that the cable provided for my charger is a USB c to c cable. This means I basically can't charge my phone until I get a new cable, as that is a USB 3 input. Thanks LG!

I like this phone as it is fast and does not lag, the only downside to this device is that the battery life does not last one day and will only get around 3hrs screen on time with 8hrs standby but if your not a heavy user or you can charge you phone during the day then this is very good value for money and will receive updates from google quicker than other android devices, also the fingerprint scanner is a bit slower than other phones and does not work all the time but is still usable, also the display looks good and accurate colours.​

Great phone. Had for 6 months now. Zero problems, Good battery life, Charges fast, screen is clear. Just a great phone for the money.👍

I have had a Nexus 4 and 5 before but much prefer the 5X. It is only slightly larger that the 5 but much quicker and has a better quality screen. I only buy Google phones because they only use pure Android, nothing added and nothing taken away. For £217 I don't think that you can buy a better SIM free phone in the UK.

I loved this phone, for the whole 2 hours that it worked.I loved it so much, I would of exchanged it for another one, but Amazon will only let me return it.The seller contacted me advising the wrong cable may be supplied, which was the case. Fair enough.The phone installed all of it's updates (3 in total). Got it all set up and downloaded some apps.When boomf. it crashed.Then it turned on, all seemed fine again. 5 minutes later. Boomf. It crashed again.Each time it crashed it displayed a bios type screen. Wouldn't respond to any button clicking etc.Eventually it turned off, and hasn't turned on again since.Tried charging it. Followed all the guides on the internet. It's dead as a door nail.Anyway. Sending it back for a refund later as I've had no response from the seller and Amazon won't let me swap it.

A functional phone that leaves a lot to be desired. Battery life was the main down-side for me. I returned it as a faulty unit as it wouldn't last over 6 hours.Aside from the battery issues that I experienced, I think it's a decent budget phone.
