Bought this to replace an old 1/2 hp InSinkerator disposal that finally wore out after 15 years. This one is more powerful and much quieter. It was an easy install only took about 30 minutes. So far so good eats through everything i've put in it. Would definitely recommend

I needed to replace an older (23years) model of the insinkerator and since I had such good luck wanted the same model. unfortuneatly they no longer make that one and this was the model that was suggested as a replacement.Pros:1. seems well built2. easy to install3. runs quietly4. cord easy to install just slide in place and screw in place and ready to gocons:1.(not really a con just a warning) since it is a solid built disposal it does have some weight to it so don't expect some light weight unit to lift up while installing. not a problem for the average person but if you are on the weak side might need someone to lift it into place when mounting it.2. as others have said you have to buy their cord to install, would be nice if they just packaged a cord with the unit and give you a choice between motes with a cord or hard wired. I know most units of any brand no longer come with cords but since you have to use their easy mount cord and can not use a generic cord they really should package it with the unit even if it cost a few bucks moreconclusion: very happy with the unit and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good home disposal unit.

Replacement for a 20 year old version of essentially the same model. Just installed today, so can’t comment on longevity. Install was simplified by not having to change out the sink hardware, just hang it and reconnect the plumbing, all in the same positions. Two notable differences. Many of the reviews here noted that a power cord is not included. While that is quite annoying, the EZ connect cord is sooo easy to connect, and no possibility of loose connections. The other is that the rubber gasket and baffle on this disposal are separate pieces; the baffle drops in from the top of the sink, making it very easy to replace without having to remove the disposal. On my old one the baffle and gasket were one piece on the underside of the sink. Replacing it required disconnecting all the plumbing connections and the disposal itself! With this one you just pluck the baffle out of the drain from the top of the sink and press in the new one.

I just got this disposal so this is my first thoughts on it.It is super quiet. If I have the tv on I can barely hear it.It works great, grinding everything with no problems.It does NOT come with a power cord which is the main reason I didn't give it 5 stars.I will update this review after I have used it for awhile.

Bought this InSinkErator garbage disposal to replace my old one . After reading the reviews and looking at videos. Made the right choice ,works great and quieter than my old one. don’t have any complaints 💯 percent-satisfied with this product

I liked the installation except for the scant details of hooking up power to the base; need more detailed instructions. The rest of the installation was quite simple using a jack to hold it up and applying the right pressure to squeeze it in as the rubber boot ring on top makes for a tight fit.

I installed this about 8 months ago to replace our old one that started leaking due to rusting out. So far it has been great, very powerful & fairly quite, seems to handle everything we've throw into it. Easy install & works great. Recommend this to anyone looking for a good kitchen insink disposal.
