Foreign Correspondents of Japan: Covering a Half-century of Upheavals - From 1945 to the Present Hardcover – Import, 1 January 1999

As a former member of the Foreign Correspondent's Club of Japan I loved the book. Authors have presented the long and rich history of the club that helped hundreds of foreign correspondents to work in Japan and understand the country and the people better. What is, perhaps, missing is the list of club members during the first 50 years.

I bought the book for my Waseda graduate Japanese born wife who worked a couple of years post graduation in the offices of NBC in Japan. She particularlly remembers a gentleman in the book who gave an Asian business news report in a small room in their office 5 days a week.

Wonderful read to get a ground floor view of modern japan through the eyes of dedicated untiring journalists. I liked this quick read very much.
