Just changed this review from 1 star to 5 stars, but I am leaving up my old review below, so you can see where I was wrong. It may help others, as I see some of my complaints on other reviews. SD card: Yes mine came without an SD card. No big deal. Just buy one, but make sure you buy a 32 GB or better. If you use one only 2 GB, it won't work. The one I tried before my 1 star review was only 2 GB. Batteries: Just put better AA batteries in. Problem solved. Keep in mind, these cameras can sit on the shelf for years, and batteries lose power. I ran this daily for almost a week, and no battery decay. Re: set up, this is a prob. The instructions are terrible. Download the big PDF manual from this site, and yes, read it. The set up does work, it just takes a while. Do set the time and date. You will be glad to know exactly when the animal dropped by. See my pic, these raccoons made nightly appearances. Too bad I was looking for my lost cat instead! Picture quality. Better than your cell phone. Yes, I know the night pic I uploaded does not look better than your cell, but there is 0 flash, and there were no lights on site. This is an infrared shot. Try that with your cell phone! The day pics are crystal clear. This is a great camera--and even if you have to buy an SD card and batteries, it is still cheaper than the competition. Highly recommend. --- (My old 1 star review) No SD card. Most people don't have these laying around. Manual even says SD card comes with. When I put in my SD card it could not read it. And batteries are about out of power. AND the setup is impossible, none of my edits work, date/time, etc. Sorry, I do not believe all these 5 star reviews are correct. And now I can't even return it because I hastily accepted their partial refund offer. AVOID.

I purchased two of the KJK 2 Pack Trail Cameras in 2024 and 2025 to record trespassers on a second home I own. The property is now vacant, and someone entered the property and broke a window, therefore, I needed video/photo surveillance that was effective and not expensive. I used my four KJK cameras to circle my property, and I was surprised at the amount of traffic entering my circle driveway trolling my vacant home. I was able to print a photo of an intruder and fax it to the state police. They took the photo and informed the alleged trespassers to stay away from my land. In addition, I record deer, coyotes, rabbits, raccoons and a cat entering my country property at night. I cannot believe the number of animals captured on the KJK cameras. Easy to use, long battery life and best of all OUTSTANDING customer service. One of my cameras recently stopped working and I contacted KJK and asked if they could repair the camera expecting I would have to pay for the repair. Instead, two new cameras were shipped to me at no charge for the cameras or shipping with ALL accessories included. Quality image of both video and photos with this camera. You will not go wrong purchasing the KJK trail cameras.

I have had the KJK Trail Camera 36MP for a month now. I have used a variety of inexpensive trail cameras to monitor our backyard bird feeders to see what critters come to visit for leftovers at night, and so far this is the best one. (Cheap cameras because I throw them away and get a new one when they invariably fail after a few years.) I have it set to record photos and videos at the default (auto) resolution from around 7PM-7AM and check it about weekly. I installed the (4 AA) included batteries when I first set the camera up and changed them for the first time today after a month of use. About 6 days ago the photos started to occasionally record a low-battery warning but the camera continued to function the entire time, so there was plenty of warning. When the temps were below freezing the batteries were too low for the cam to use its infrared lights, but on warmer days that function returned. The camera captures the neighborhood cats, many opossums, some racoons, and occasional gray foxes that come to the backyard. It does a much better job of triggering appropriately than my previous cameras, but I have seen opossums out the back window in the camera's field of view that it did NOT capture. (So only 4 stars). This week I had over 600 photos and videos on the 32GB memory card and only 3GB of the memory was used, so the supplied SD card is plenty big enough for me. I wanted a compact camera so it would fit in the little bird house that I use as a housing for the camera, and this fits just fine. I like that it only takes 4 AA batteries rather than the 8 like my previous cameras. Other reviewers have mentioned that the SD card slot is too close to the frame of the housing making hard to remove, which is true, but manageable. (In case you're curious, the fence is slow predators to protect visitors to the ground and low-tree feeders. See the cat stalking the opossum. No animals were injured in the making of these photos.) Recommended

I bought 2 of these camera and they look great and are not bad to set up. I tested one right away and noticed it took no photos in the week I had it up. I was standing in front of it while I was picking it up. No pictures of me. I decided to have them replace it. The replacement came and I both 2 of them up in a remote location. They both worked for the end of the day only and shut down. I emailed support and the have a response that they will send rechargeable lithium batteries. Im waiting for the batteries, but when switched them off and back on they show great for battery strength? I asked support again and got the same canned support even though I replied to their first response. I like them and want them to work. I will try some new batteries in them this weekend, but if that doesn’t fix the issue. I will be contacting amazon for help on getting a refund! If anyone has info that will help, please share. Thx Updated 10-27-23 KJK and Amazon have been very good to respond since I provided my first review. They have provided new batteries. Plus I’m trying them again in the field this week. They work fine in my house with me at 5-20ft. We will see if the new batteries will help. I have 29 trail cameras, 5 different brands. 3 new new brands this year as a trial. I’m thinking it could be a range issue, but we will see. I raised the Stars up from 1 to 2 because the support is much better than I expected. Thx Update: 11-01-23 Cameras are in the field and I did get one set of pictures off of. I think they will work, but I would recommend keeping them closer to the target areas. I don't think they have a very good range day or night. My opinion. Update 08/22/24 These cameras only work the daytime now. Don’t waste your money. The size and design is great, but something in the electronics is all wrong. I have not been rough on these at all. They have been out in the woods less than any other cameras I have.

Given the fact that I am an Amazon reviewer, I very rarely review an item that is not within my program but I am making an exception for these trail cams. I have bought this trail cam from this seller at least 6 or 7 times now. Some are for my own use and others have been used as gifts to friends. First of all, the trail cam is super easy to use. No bells and whistles, I never needed the instructions to set the date and time, view the pictures, or anything else. It's all straightforward. The video as well as the picture quality is excellent and so is the motion detection. There are different settings, but nothing is complicated to adjust or set up. I currently have 3 of these cams in use. One of them just got damaged by a bear this past week. But, it still works. This is actually the second one that got damaged by a bear. Both still work. These trail cams are solid, easy to use and just downright excellent. This is what I call great value for the money. Additionally, the cams come with batteries and a 32GB card. I am adding a couple pictures, they are not recent, but both are from the KJK trail cameras. If I could give these trail cameras more than 5 stars, I would. They are so worth it. I just bought this 2-pack to have some backups in case the bears get a bit overzealous with their big claws.

I bought the "Good" batteries as suggested, and they lasted two nights with less than 5 minutes of video recorded. I ordered Energizer rechargeables to save $ but still had to switch out the batteries every 2 days. I purchased a solar panel for this on the recommendation of ChatGPT. I have the camera set to 60-second video with a 5-second lag between shots (the lowest time available), but the night video still freezes after 30 seconds. Now chat is saying "Even though you have your KJK Trail Camera 36MP 2.7K Mini Game Camera connected to a continuous solar power supply and configured to 60-second video clips, your videos are cutting off at 30 seconds due to a hard-coded firmware restriction designed to protect the hardware. According to the official KJK Trail Camera Advanced Settings Manual, the camera contains a native safety override: "recording length at night keeps 30 seconds." It WILL start a new recording after 5 seconds, but that is at the end of the 60 seconds, and by that time, the "subject" is usually out of frame. I am using this to track critters in my garden, especially the rats that are eating my veggies. I will set the recording time to 20 seconds to get around the 30-second restriction and hope for the best. The video quality is good for close-up recording, but it helps if you have motion-activated lighting behind the camera. Daytime color video is good with a better range than night vision.

I bought this based on all the positive reviews and was needing to find something that didn't rely on power or internet. I paid more than what it is advertised for now but still worth it! The night vision I have to say isn't the greatest....but it's okay. I guess I was expecting it to be a little better based on the images I saw but I also have to say that if you live in an area that gets REALLY hot, this little guy can really stand up to heat well over 100 degrees! I forget what the exact temperature is that it says it can go up to, but I do have it in an area where it gets a little bit of shade. The most frustrating thing about the traditional security cameras like I said is that they all want to rely on internet or power so when I happened to come across trail cams I was elated! I do have to say by my own fault (I should have known better) I used the crappy batteries that came with it and they only lasted just over 2 weeks. In fact, when reviewing the images/clips from the SD card I saw that even though they were full when I put them in, they went down to half full after only two days lol. So ya, I should have known not to trust the cheap batteries but thankfully I kept an eye on it and noticed the IR wasn't coming on as much one night, and the second night not at all. The 3rd night I took it down and the issue was the dead batteries. Other than that I am impressed with what it captures. I really recommend this to anyone who is mobile as well, whether that is van life, car camping, rv, etc. bc you can still have a security system without having to worry about the issues I already mentioned. I've never understood even in a regular home how the security cameras that depend on internet and power function when those go out...but that's not for me to figure out. All I have to say that this is a SOLID option and unless you have someone who is looking for it, you can easily find a semi-discreet spot for it. Other than that, it's a deterrent for people who see it's there and may have ill intentions. The daytime images and video are impressive quality in my opinion and as far as the format they are in, I just popped the SD card in my laptop which is a few years old and I had no issue with them playing or showing. Def gonna be buying more! I also likes that this comes with a SD card already in it and programmed. (Make sure to read the directions-it's already inside the trail cam for you!). The setup and directions and simple. Other than the crappy batteries it comes with, this thing is solid and reliable, especially if you are using it for security purposes. I can't recommend it enough!!!!

Great little basic trail cam to be so inexpensive. I bought this cam 2 years ago and used it for a couple months, then forgot about it until recently. I had left it tied to a tree on my property. Retrieved it and it still worked perfectly! It has multiple video/ photo quality settings and is very easy to set up and use. I’m not a serious hunter, just use it to keep an eye on parts of my property, works great for that.

Cuando seteo la cámara en función de grabación por detección de movimiento, toma fotos en vez de grabar. Y en función de prueba es tan lenta desde que detecta el movimiento hasta que empieza a grabar que el sujeto sale de cuadro antes de que empiece la grabación.

購入したトレイルカメラを実際に使いました。屋外の林道へ設置しましたが、サイズは小さく木に固定しやすいです。デザインは無駄がなく、色は黒と濃いグレーの組み合わせで落ち着きます。重量は軽く、持ち運びにも困りません。一方で初期設定は難しく、操作パネルが直感的でない点は不便でした。電源の取り回しにも工夫が必要です。画質は日中はまずまずですが、薄暗い朝夕はノイズが目立ちます。
