The Brilliance of Black Children in Mathematics (NA)

All teachers of Mathematics should have a copy of this book in their classrooms. Not only does it give background information on how history has pigeon-holed African Americans in their mathematics education, it also includes a paradigm shift on how teachers need to tap into the brilliance of all children through successful teaching/ learning strategies. It is a must-read for any pre-service teacher considering education as well as parents who can get an inside view of why their mathematics learning was stagnated, unless you had a teacher who was able to uncover your natural brilliance.

This singular work is scholarly yet accessible to an intuitive mathematician like me, who is a lover of black history and black people. I have only finished 2 chapters so far, but I would commend it to all with similar likes and interests!
