A great sighting compass at a great price. The delineation screwdriver thing is weird and just waiting to be lost, but other than that it's a fully functional compass. It has all the bells and whistles of a compass twice it's price. Good buy.

The compass is average. The declination tool comes loose from the compass. Works fine. The lanyard is cheaply made. Its woven loose and breaks easily. (Within 10 minutes of attaching to the compass I noticed a frayed section) It also came orange not black if that matters to you. The cap doesn't shut firmly or stay closed. Its not horrible, but its not great either. If you're looking for something and its all you got, sure I'll take it, but I would spend my 10$ elsewhere.

This campus has most of the features of the big boys at a fraction of the cost this is a great starter campus for any one who needs a device that does more than points north

This compass is very well made. It gets close to the quality of a Type 15. The only reason I can't really like or love it is that the compass needle dips a lot. It is not balanced for my part of the world. It may do better closer to the equator. With that said, the needle is accurate (I checked using a Type 15), but I would be concerned using it for anything more than show and tell.

It feels like a strong compass. I would've bought two of them. It may take it a while to settle on a direction but it's the same direction every time. Make sure to be away from your running vehicle or electronic devices when finding your way.

This is a price point compass.I am currently using this as my "in the truck" compass. I have a higher priced more durable compass in my main kit. This would be a great compass to give to child as a hiking beginner/learner compass. It would work well as a fundamental tool but if it were dropped by a child you would not be heart broken.

This is a very good, well made basic compass for map navigation. The sighting mirror housing is well made and snaps firmly shut, the mirror itself is a good size and is large enough to be used for signaling for rescue if necessary. The only feature I would add is a magnifying glass. Other than that this compass should serve you pretty well.
