It worked very well for me.
I don't expect these products will work for everyone, but after a several weeks I can say this one works for me. I'm 46 years old, no underlying health issues and I sleep on my back (even if I try to sleep on my side I always roll to my back). Over the last couple of years I transitioned from occasional snoring to chronic snoring/apnea. I would wake up tired and often with a headache. Enough coverage in the press about the long term risks of apnea motivated me to try something. Basically this product holds my mouth shut while I sleep, forcing me to breathe through my nose. My soft palate doesn't collapse and I don't snore. My sleep has improved greatly. I sleep more deeply and wake up less frequently during the night. I wake my wife less so she's happy, too. It's a little odd-feeling when you first try to sleep with this device on your head but I got used to it within a week. Also, it took a few nights to get the adjustments comfortable and effective--not too loose, not too tight. It is reasonably well made but even if it fell apart in 6 months I'd buy another one.

Helps to keep mouth closed at night, but not perfect.
One of the things I hate about using a CPAP is that I tend to breathe through my mouth when I sleep--even with a full face mask and humidifier my mouth is like a sandbox in the morning.I've found that the full face masks actually tend to push my mouth open as I sleep, so I was hoping this snoring strap would keep it closed...Pros- Does help to keep mouth closed, but, for me at least, it isn't perfect.- Fits around my full face mask- Material is soft enough that it doesn't cause irritation.Cons- The velcro fasteners don't have tabs on them... they fit flush against each other and make it very hard to adjust them. It also makes it hard to put the strap on--you either have to stretch it over your head from the front, or loosen the velcro and try to get it adjusted right again.- It's probably due to the shape of my head, but the strap doesn't pull straight up--my mouth still comes open, but not as much. Conclusion: It may work for you, and since you can return it, it's worth a try... it just doesn't work well for me.

Works pretty well, but it's quite a bit larger than the regular size. Could use another size in between the two.
My head is narrow, but long, so the regular size was too tight. The XL size works pretty well for me, however it is quite a bit larger than the regular one. The straps stretch out over time, so hopefully this one will not become too big to work well in the future. They could really use a size in between these two.Overall, the design of the strap works pretty well. It's not perfect, but it's certainly better than nothing. Previously, I had one that was just a single strap that went underneath my chin and up over my head; there was nothing that went around the back. That strap didn't work very well at all; this one is much better. The trade off is that the strap around the back draws your jaw back a bit and can cause some discomfort until you get used to it. You can fasten the strap looser in the back of your head, but then it won't hold your mouth shut as well.As I said, it's not perfect, but it gets the job done pretty well. In my opinion, if you're not satisfied with your current situation, this is certainly worth a try for the price.

This is the perfect strap to help keep your mouth closed while sleeping
This is the perfect strap to help keep your mouth closed while sleeping! Be sure and measure your head before ordering. I have had several of these sent to me by my CPAP supplier. They never told me that these came in different sizes even though adjustable. They just sent me whatever they stocked. Since they no longer carry these and no other chin strap really works for me, I started shopping for one on my own and found this one. It's the same style and brand as the ones I've always used but here, they offer different sizes. I read one of the reviews left here that said to measure my head from the center of my chin, to the the center of my crown to find my size, so I did that and I am SO glad that I did. It seems as if I've been wearing the wrong size all along. I would have ordered the regular size one, but since I measured, it says here that I should be wearing an XL. I can't tell you how much more comfortable the XL is! I used to have to put a tissue at the top where the adjustable part is because the Velcro would grab and tear at my hair. Since I finally am wearing the right size there's no longer a need for that. Also, this is so much more comfortable than my other chin straps that are the wrong size. Before this, having never had the right one, I just assumed that it was something I would just have to put up with. Not so! I am so pleased. I highly recommend this chin strap. It's soft, comfortable, doesn't slide around and does a great job of holding your mouth closed without it feeling like you have your head in a vise. Get one!

Not the same
My fourth chin strap over several years and this one was made by sunset. It was too small and a cheap impostor of the puresome vyaire ruby strap. Garbage

Exactly what I needed
I use a CPAP to sleep and it's a pain in the butt to keep my mouth closed when I'm sleeping so I've tried a bunch of different products to do the trick. I went through 6 different chin straps in less than a year - all of them wore out within a few weeks or a month (if I was lucky) but this one is different. It's made of a sturdier material that doesn't shred over time and the Velcro doesn't pull out little bits and it holds strong. I've been using this for almost 6 months and it's still going strong. If you're looking for a good chin strap for CPAP use, this is the best one.

Poor quality materials
Inner liner quickly came loose and the foam disintegrated. These used to be made of wetsuit materials and held up for at least 6 months. Now unusable after a couple of weeks. Don’t buy this brand any more!
