Bought on a recommendation for pain relief /reduction of swelling following a complete knee replacement. Used for the past four days after getting home and what a godsend. The relief as the cold water starts flowing is amazing. If it broke a replacement would be ordered immediately!A couple of recommendations:1. Check that the pad is not twisted as the water won’t flow. We found that it was best to tighten the straps once the water was circulating back into the ice box.2. We bought an ice maker but the ice pieces are hollow and not that large, so melt quickly. We found that freezing water in plastic takeaway boxes produced a good sized slab of ice. No real need for an ice maker. The ice slab keeps the water cold for a long time.We have so far found no problem with the connection between the two sets of pipes. They click into place easily and they haven’t come apart until we physically pressed the button to disconnect.Well worth the money.

Very disappointed with this item. The cuff thing doesn't fit properly around my knee (which is what I bought it for). Despite putting the ice in loose, it just doesn't feel cold enough. Unfortunately I missed the return date.

This product is cheaply made. I bought it for my mother in law who had just had a knee replacement and on first use, the product starting leaking! The compression pads also don’t get very cold and don’t expand enough to compress the injured area. An ice pack works better than this product. You are better off getting a better made hospital grade version or renting one from a reputable supplier. Waste of time and money. You get what you pay for I guess…

Hubby just had total knee replacement and this has been a terrific addition to his rehabilitation, no faffing about with freezing ice packs, ice from ice machine and away you go! Great pain relief easy to use and good value

It works well and does what it should but the connectors for the shoulder attachment are poorly designed and pop off easily so water pumps out. I’ve had it happen 3 times now while using to recover from rotator cuff surgery. If you let going to use this after surgery where you’ll only have 1 arm/hand to use, make sure it is 100% connected correctly so it can’t pop off as I think I’ve possibly damaged my surgical arm reacting to catch it after it popped off. There’s also no way you can reconnect it yourself with one arm, it’s difficult with 2. The design of the connectors really needs to be reconsidered for people who are going to use the product with an immobilised shoulder/arm.
