This book is incredible. I love the approach and the "invitation" to change. It's written in such a way that even individuals who are not a leader in the church will want to know more and see the church be disassembled and put back together. This books speaks to my soul, to the part of me that always left church with a feeling that something was missing. It has some very powerful truths about what we are called to do as Christians and as the body. I have experienced the dream this book offers first hand and it has changed my life."Leadership is often looking for commitment from its people to the church but isn’t often willing to do the same in return—invest in the people they’re asking to invest."I highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone who has been to church, left a church, or is a leader in a church.

A thought provoking read. The author addresses issues that he sees in the way churches can approach people and processes. He looks at Scripture and writes about what he sees there that should serve as a different take on the way Christians can approach church.

A must read for Christians in America today, Deconstructing Church will speak truth about the Sunday spectacle church has become.

I think this a great read to spark further discussions and thoughts on what "the church" should/could look like. Would be a good book to read and then discuss with others. I definitely appreciate the encouragement to be much more than a Sunday gathering. The book contains many generalizations of what churches look like, how they act, motivations of leadership, etc...that won't ring true for every church but again provide great discussion points.

Reading this has definitely resonated with the realities of where churches are at today. I'm excited to be a part of moving toward a healthier tomorrow!
