Do not buy for a streaming device, works well as a portable desk top for the office. Spend $50 more and get the acepc AK1 it's a bit bigger but great for streaming and loads way faster too.

Hooked it up to the TV, Upgrades it to windows 10 PRO with no issue. This thing is nice, and between Netflix, Youtube TV and Amazon this will probably replace my Comcast.

The idea to get such windows device is to allow my son and me to play chess on big screen TV. Although he can play chess on smart phone and android tablet but I don't like him always look at small screen plus I can't watch how he's playing. Then I have to ask him to play on my PC which connect to a 24" monitor -- it's OK to watch on his side but in a small den area sometimes I can't really enjoy. Why not have him played in our living room on our big screen TV? Yes I can move my PC near to the TV but the PC isn't only for that. So I decide to buy a new device that serve the purpose and not make me bankrupt. After some research, I decide to choose "PC on a stick" solution and I choose this device (to give a try).The package come in in a week. When open the package, I found the device was quite compact and well built (in a glossy black casing, see the picture for a sense of its size). There are only 2 cables, one for power (from AC outlet) and one HDMI cable to TV -- however, you don't actually need the HDMI cable as the device can directly plug in TV's HDMI input (see picture). After plug in the TV (choose the right HDMI input) and connect the power cable, you now can press the small power button on the stick -- wola, you can immediately see the familiar windows starting logo displaying on your TV screen. Since it's the first time to use it, I need set up a lot of things. Only at that moment I noticed that I forgot to connect a keyboard/mouse to the PC stick. Luckily I had a set of wireless keyboard/mouse sitting around for some time and now it got new use. After I connect the keyboard, now I can start setup the windows. It took me very little effort to finish the setup (language, wifi network etc.), and the first time log in the system, I immediately open the browser and log into the chess website -- it runs really smooth and now we can sit on the couch to play/analysis chess games!It's just the start, with full windows on this small device, I can imagine how much I can play with it in the future. A good buy indeed.Update:I would like to share more of my experience after using it for 2+ weeks. As I said the main purpose of get this device is to playing chess on big screen TV and it does it very well. I also installed KODI on this "PC" and again quite easy and straight forward. It's a full functional Windows 10 PC so the possibility doing things are enormous -- given that what you want to turn it into.Another big advantage of it is you can move it around your house -- actually the first installation is on a 42 old Sony TV, now as it serves very well I decide to put it behind the Bigger 55 TV, and it's just simple plug-and-play. No complaints, and I am thinking get one for my parents as they have trouble read on small 22 monitor on their old PC.Other thoughts: the Windows 10 is more and more friendly on TV, so the look and feel of their Apps are quite suitable on Big screen TV.

This thing is amazing! I have it hooked up to a 55" monitor in a clients boardroom and it does everything prefectly. Most of their applications are web based so there isn't much installed on it but it is fast! I did go with the 4GB one for the extra money and I am glad I did. It is great that it has 2 usb connectors as I have one for the wireless keyboard/mouse combo and then one can be used if someone has a flash drive for a presentation or whatever. I will buy more of these when needed.

I bought this stick pc to install kodi. I installed Lubuntu 18.04. I did not need to installed any manual driver. The only problem I had was in audio, which was able to solve after spending some time. I played 4k and full HD videos what worked very well, from youtube.Kodi is playing FULL HD videos from PVR Simple, works very well too.I recommend it.One thing I noticed is that, there is no audio jack, only HDMI or bluetooth. Be-aware of that.I used lm-sensors to measure the temperature of the cpu while playing FULL HD video. It was around 68 degrees Celsius, but works without any glitches.

Windows 10 works, it opens faster than a hdd laptop. But even with simple application such as facebook and messenger, you will immedietely notice the lag. Mouse sometimes difficult to locate because it moves so slowly you have to shake it all the time making it jump around. Edge is slow to especially when some of the videos on the default website starts to run.
