One of the best toys you can buy a kid with ADHD. He can stand there for like 20 minutes. Just fooling around with a little electricity going back-and-forth.

These things are fun! I wanted as big of a globe as i could get without spending a lot - this was the solution - colors are vivid - fun to hold a florescent bulb next to it - it will glow!

I don’t know if it’s under powered or poorly designed. But it doesn’t work right
The media could not be loaded. None of the light touch the glass, and just a few of them even glow upward. Most of the currents are stuck down in the bottom where you can’t see them.I don’t know if it’s under powered, poorly designed or defective, but it doesn’t work.I’ll be returning this for sure.

As we used to remember but has a few quirks....
I bought this for the nostalgia purposes but also to display and play. The size and functionality of this is spot on from what I remember seeing way back in 90s in "x" mall stores.As for functionality. Turn it on then enjoy the touch features as we all remembered.As for the rest. I honestly don't feel comfortable at all leaving it in as it has an odd smell when using it that might make anyone second guess using it as a decoration but, I've had no issues and play with it a lot so it could be normal for a device like this.However, after owning it and messing with it for months now I have to mention the weird power switch. The best way to describe it is the fact that I need to rest it in the center correctly in order for it to make contact but it works perfectly otherwise. There also seems to be a third setting but it's dead when I try it.It's a low 4 star but a good unit and works so I can't put it at a 3 yet but if anything changes, I'll update this.

Perfect gift for an 8 year old!
A childhood classic toy that also encourages the study of science. I bought this as a birthday gift for my grandson’s 8th birthday. He told me that I buy him the coolest gifts!! This gift also lead him to research how it works turning him into a science wiz kid!

kind of small
This is sort of a small laser lightning ball. The base is much larger than the actual top portion of it. I thought that this was going to be much larger than what it is. This is a gift for my nephew and I think he will like it I just wish that it was a larger ball. The base is made from plastic and the top is glass to conduct the electric current.
