Start at the top and slide it into the channel. You will need some needle nose pliers to pull it along. If the fit is tight you could use some dish soap to lubricate the channel.

Yes I used this magnet on my shower door. It was very easy to install. The old magnet no longer kept the door closed. This works perfectly.
