I purchased this for utilizing in a hot tent (Camping tent with wood stove and chimney Jack). It is exactly what I needed. I tested it by hovering it a few feet over the outdoor campfire and within seconds it went into alarm and cleared several seconds after removing it. I left it on all night and woke up to the battery life still reading full. Was simple to use, great money for the value and feels solid. Would highly recommend.Also it was my first time utilizing this set up and adjusting the damper of the stove. I was using a foldable wood stove which makes it vulnerable for leaks. At one point I did view the levels rise and was able to make adjustments so it read safely back to zero. This device is a perfect size to fit anywhere and I trust it’s accuracy. A must have, potential life saving device.

I loved it at home and it worked great! Sadly, once I got on the boat, it failed to charge no matter what charger I used! When I got home, it worked fine! WHAT? I researched and found out that some cheaper items, while they have the C input, they cannot communicate to a C to C charger about the voltage they need and thus, don't charge at all! Cray! So, now I know to take an A to C charger on the boat! I bought this for use on boats just as an extra safety precaution. It was disappointing to cart this thing along and then not be able to use it. For the 10 minutes it worked, it was great! I love the ring that allowed me to hang it on a hook by my bed, it was easy to read and I liked knowing the temperature and humidity of my room as well as confirming it was free of CO. I will take it from now on, but it would have been nice if they could have included that info in the directions. Otherwise, a great device.

After I purchased the Chtoocy Carbon Monoxide Detector through Amazon and before it arrived, I received an email from the Chtoocy explaining that sometimes their Carbon Monoxide Detector arrives damaged due to rough handling during shipping. They asked that I test the Chtoocy Carbon Monoxide Detector when it arrived. I did and it worked great.This not only tells me that they are producing a quality Carbon Monoxide Detector but that they also provide great customer service and support.Thank-you Chtoocy

I did like it said and held a cigarette up to it and it made the sensor go off, so it seems to be working. I apologize, my camera work isn’t the best, but you can see it working.I bought this to hang in my car. I think I have an exhaust leak so I wanted to verify it before I took it into the shop.I love that it’s handheld so I can take it anywhere, plus it’s rechargeable.

I was unsure of product until I tested it out by purposely putting it by an exhaust from generator

The device works great but the lanyard broke off in a few days even though I didn't move or use the lanyard that much. Now I can't hang it in the car till I replace the lanyard.

ChtoocyPortable detector: the portable CO detector is great little item to have with you at all time, it came with a white USB to C cable. When I received the product for the first time there are no power-I can not turn it on. At first the second unit would not turn on, I put it on a charger w/ factory cable, the battery icon keep showing charging. But after more than 45 min I start smelling burning "electrical smell" and the icon still show no charge when disconnected from power source. After blasting the product w/ 1 rating, and about 1Hr later I decided try to turn it on one last time. The second do turn on so long as you PRESS AND HOLD THE MIDDLE UNTIL IT TURN ON. I do hope the device work like advertise. Now I'm wonder how long I should keep it on the charger when it needed a charge without the burning smell.
