The "Carpenters" Anthology: Piano Vocal Guitar

This is a collection of 43 of the Carpenters songs. They include all the ones that we fans expect (Solitaire, Superstar, Top of The World, etc) and covers (eg Calling Occupants, When I Fall In Love It Will Be Forever, Ticket To Ride).It's a thick book at 231 sides with a square glued spine rather than folded and stapled.The score is clear with 4 rows of music per page that has guitar chords / song tune / lyrics / treble & bass piano staves.It is typical of a Hal Leonard book. Good quality printing, accurate, although leaving the player to embellish in parts.This is a must-have for any Carpenters fan! I'd definitely buy it agian.

Delighted with this. Contains all my favourites, especially We've Only Just Begun, which was "our song" when we got married in 1973. Need the music because our daughter, son-in-law and grand-daughter are going to perform for us when we celebrate our Golden Wedding in 2023.

Very playable. Contains all of their hits but also quite a few slow ballads from their albums with true to original arrangements. Some of the songs have the melody in the piano part (an octave higher than sung) and others are the backing (so you can sing along if you are so inclined) Worth the money.

A decent value for money collection of the carpenters songs. Not just the hits but a lot of the other known as well. A good buy.

I didn't pay for first class post but the book arrived the next day - a lovely surprise. It was in excellent condition.As to the content - pretty much every great song was included and the piano accompaniment is faithful to the original and very well laid out for sight - reading.One thing that always annoys me with editions like this is that the tune is included in the accompaniment - but that's the convention.When you buy anthologies you often get one or two songs you like and a load of duds. Not with this collection - It's excellent and I highly recommend it to fans of the music, amateur and professional musicians alike.

I love The Carpenters music and as a pianist I really enjoyed playing this. Top quality and great value for money.

Sorry the title is rather obvious but the book is exactly as it should be. All the famous Carpenters songs for me to murder on my guitar! If only I had some like Karen Carpenter's voice to sing the songs - she was wonderful. A very useful book and worth the money.
