A new twist on a beloved classic: the Gobi has gone vegan friendly. Made with Canvas, this Gobi is a vegan adaptation of our original desert boot Gobi II. Don’t be fooled: it’s just as durable and ready for adventure as its leather counterpart. Just like the rest of the Gobi line, Gobi Eco Suede features our thinnest, most durable barefoot sole. It is the perfect packable travelling companion.

Amazing shoes, fine leather gloves for your feet.
These shoes are spectacular. They’re essentially finely crafted leather gloves for your feet. The toe box could be a bit wider, as I have extra wide feet, but the supple soft leather does a great job of melding to your feet. The insole is a thin piece of cork, which I didn’t think would last long, but has done better then I imagined. I have tried tons of barefoot shoes, but ultimately they always feel like shoes, minimalistic, but shoes regardless; you could always feel a difference removing those barefoot shoes and going actual barefoot. With these vivo’s though, there is no difference. These are hands down the most “barefoot” feeling shoes I’ve ever had the pleasure of wearing. Very nice quality soft supple leather. I bought these shoes for working outside and hiking, which I felt bad about at first, because they’re such nice looking, high quality shoes. I don’t attend many business meetings, but I feel like these shoes would be more then appropriate in professional a business settings.

Best Minimalist Shoe I Have Encountered to Date
I have only worn this shoe for a week. However, I am blown away by the comfort and build thus far. I have worn minimalist shoes for going on 10-years, give or take. Hence, I have worn pretty much all the major brands. The Vivobarefoot Gobi II is my favorite (again though, I have only been rocking these bad boys for a week). The Gobi II has protected the foot well while also providing great ground feel and all the other perks that come with lightweight, flexible minimalist footwear. The shoe is a pleasure to wear all day whether traversing or lounging. The sole (and shoe in its entirety) seems well built and provides confidence in terms of long term durability. The styling is superb--far superior to any other minimalist shoe that I have encountered to date. The Gobi II came with a removable cork (or synthetic cork?) insole. I use the shoe without the insole, and it functions great in that manner. I can envision where the insole might be nice in winter, but I doubt I will ever use it. I guess I am just a pretty tough dude ;)The only issue I encountered with my purchase was in finding my proper size. I wear a U.S. size 10 (New Balance and Adidas), which should have put me in a 43 Vivobarefoot. However, 42 ended up being my proper size. Please take that for what it is worth, as fit is such a subjective concept. In closing, an amazing shoe that has promptly become my go-to footwear for professional and personal endeavors.

First off I am very happy to add this shoe
Vivo Barefoot fan here. First off I am very happy to add this shoe, the Gobi 2 (im pretty sure thats what these are), to my Vivo collection. Its a very well done shoe that is extremely comfortable.Sizing: I am a 10.5 in adidas, 10 in NB, and I really like my 44EU=10.5 Vivo Ultra Pure. I originally bought the Gobi 2 at 44EU. The shoe was huge! I exchanged it for a 43EU and its definitely fits better.Pros: Well done shoe staying true to the barefoot feelSturdier sole vs Ultra PureWide toe box...truly comfortableConsThe shoe that I received wasn't a light suede like the picture makes it seem. The shoe is definitely darker than the picture. It would be tough to pull this dark suede in a professional setting in my opinion. Other reviewers think otherwise. The ankle box is wide! I can fit my fingers in the ankle box. Not sure why the top of the shoe is so loose. Its not too distracting with socks, but regardless it doesn't have the close fitting of a boot. All in all this is a fantastic shoe! No shoe can be perfect of course but this is a 5 star product in my opinion. Stitched well, I would definitely recommend this product. I would also recommend buying with amazon for easy size exchanges.

unique, comfortable shoe
My third pair of vivobarefoots! These puppies still have the wider/weird looking toe flare for the style conscious, but they REALLY improved the look with the new design. They are super unique, have a gorgeous patina, and look so solid with a pair of dark denim.Like, amazing fall boots. I love the close-to-ground feel and they are still warm with a nice pair of wool socks. The only con (for me) is that they still have the super wide toe box -- which is the whole point of these, to allow your feet to splay naturally, but it would be cool to have a more traditional looking front toe area with the barefoot/minimalist feel.Anyway, they fit mostly perfect, though the 41 is fairly roomy in the toe box compared to my other Vivo's (ra, 1st iteration). If you can get these on sale, do it, they are sexy and worth it. I get compliments from ladies and gents alike.

favorite shoes.
these shoes are light and super flexible. really different experience to other shoes that look similar but are not in this minimal barefoot style. they fit true to size. couldn’t be any more comfortable. easy to clean. look a little on the classy side, but not too dressy to wear with regular pants or jeans as everyday drivers. i wouldn’t hesitate to buy these shoes again once my current pair bites the dust. but for now they are holding up quite well.

Like a ninja moonwalking on pillows
These are some of the best shoes I’ve ever owned. I spend a lot of time researching and investigating my footwear options. For real. I literally spent the last two years contemplating these shoes. I went with some other options that were fine choices (Nike Epic React Flyknits, Oliberte Chukkas, and a couple pairs of Toms) but couldn’t pull the trigger on these for some reason. I should have just gotten these. I wear them every day and do a lot of walking/moving about. My feet feel amazing in these even after long bouts on my feet.My feet are wide and the cut on these is perfect. I like my shoes to fit snug. These lace up and pull perfectly right. I like a thin sole. These literally feel like I’m barefoot, hence the brand name lol! Also, I’m into auditory minimalism and I can trek about like a ninja moonwalking on pillows. So I’ve got that going for me. Which is nice.
