So much fun that I had to buy more!
I bought these as part of a DIY project creating my own home ball pit out of PVC pipe, netting, and pool noodles. My pit is 5' x 3.5' and I originally purchased 300 of the Commercial 3" diameter balls, which were able to cover the bottom of the pit. I'm a large adult (~200 lbs) and I could not crush them by stepping on them. The colors came separated in 100 ball bags in a large box.I liked these so much that I immediately bought some more (another 300) for me and my nephew as well! The sellers were very nice and reached out to ask me what colors I wanted, but I was a little hard to get a hold of by phone. It would be nice if we could request which colors we want up front, but honestly I was happy just to get them - I wasn't picky about colors. My random colors ended up being orange, purple, and green. If you're making a ball pit yourself and you're wondering how many to get, in my experience you will definitely need way more than you think you will, especially if you want to have a deep pit (more than 1 foot deep). If you do, I recommend getting the larger diameter (3 inch) over the smaller - as, like they advertise - it will obviously cover more cubic feet with lesser balls total.100 balls is definitely less than you think, but I think any more than 250 for an infant ball pit might be too much. I've seen other DIY ball pit builders advise on considering who will be using this the most. For infants, you might want smaller and less balls (just not too small so they can fit them in their mouth, of course) but older kids will probably appreciate the bigger ones more. Consider if you will, how much you will mind cleaning up after these. Even the neatest kids will end up tossing them around just from playing in the pit.As an adult enjoying this hobby, I found it worth all the effort! Brought back many good memories and now my friends want one too! :)If you're curious about the colors, I think you can order a sample of each of the colors from the seller as well. I wish I would have done this just because I've heard from other buyers that they provided a coupon as well for your bigger purchase.TL;DR - you get what you pay for. These are high quality and I would buy them again in a heartbeat!

Yes, durable, large, crush proof indeed!
Definitely made the right choice here. I couldn’t find a better priced 3” ball pit ball anywhere else in North America(where I live). I understand now why these are different after comparing them to 2point something inch NOT durable balls. The slightly larger size made them stack much bigger than the smaller ones I have. I didn’t count all of them, but another review mentioned missing one of 500, which doesn’t concern me. They came in a very large box, in 5 individual bags. I initially dumped all bags into the box and they near filled it. One hundred of the smaller ones filled MUCH less of the box than one bag of this listing did. Since I’m going to wash anything that my daughter will most likely try to eat or have near her face, I dumped them all in the bathtub( which was fun :) ) the plastic they are made of is thinner, yet less brittle, than the other balls, and the durability seems to come from this. Each ball floated, and did not take on any water at all, making them easy to soak, drain, and dry. They are airtight. I imagine that it would be easy for me crush one of these if I tried, but I haven’t, and doubt seriously if anyone under 50 lbs could accidentally crush them. Also the fact that they are softer plastic, a firm bubble, and three inch diameter, means my little one can’t really get enough in her mouth to “bite” it. It disuades her almost instantly from trying again. Still glad I washed them though! ;)And glad I purchased this item!A bit pricey with shipping, but the still most reliable and lowest price per ball for 500pcs.One criticism. It would be nice if I could customize which colors I receive. A blue/white mix would especially be nice for a water type theme. I didn’t see an option to chose color, though I could be wrong.

Bright, Colorful, Large and Durable, Air-Compressed and Crush-Proof
The media could not be loaded.  I had a ball pit for my 2-year old grandson, and I needed some colorful plastic balls to fill it, so I was looking for something safe, durable and lightweight. These pit balls are so much better than I have seen at different places, since after just a few uses some of those balls were smashed, and dented. The balls in this set are brightly colored, larger than the average, and filled with compressed air, and I am delighted that they are clean, shiny and without any scent. They are a little too large for my grandson to put into his mouth therefore, this eliminates any choking hazard, and the compressed air prevents him from biting down and denting them. When I hold one in my hand and dig my thumb in hard, it yields to my pressure and similar to an air-filled balloon immediately pops back in shape when I let it go.Therefore, the balls are soft plastic and they do not hurt at all when thrown, and neither do they dent the walls when thrown from a distance, however, the compressed air inside keeps the balls in a perfect round shape. The seams are smooth, no sharp edges to snag or scrape the skin, and even when my grandson steps on them, they remain tightly sealed and they retain their round shape. The last advantage is their larger size takes up more space, therefore less plastic balls are necessary to fill up a ball pit. Currently, I am using this set of 150 plastic 3.1” balls for a 36” hexagon ball pit, and they cover the entire bottom surface. Eventually, I will probably order another set of 150 for a little more depth, but it’s still a lot less than 500, which was the original estimation for added depth in our ball pit.

Very durable product, 4 1/2" years use without any loss of balls
I bought one pack of 500 off of amazon and 2 additional packs through alternative channels so a total 1500 of the 3" commercial grade balls. I built my kids a ball pit out of PVC pipe and mesh netting held together with zip ties. I supplemented with maybe 2/3s the same volume of random balls off of craigslist or facebook as the kids got older and depth needed to increase.Over the 4 and 1/2 years the ball pit was in use, I lost zero of the 3" commercial grade myballs to crush damage. I lost 43 of the random balls to splitting or crush damage.
