Useful and well-priced
This device was £29.99 at the time of ordering; at the time of writing it is £23.99, which is much more like what it's worth. It's a relatively simple device that does what it sets out to do - vocal recording. The built-in speaker is poor, but recordings, which are saved in .mp3 format, sound much better when played using better speakers (on a PC, for example). There are 3 selectable bitrates. The device can also work as an mp3 player, although it has little to recommend it in this mode. It is Bluetooth-equipped, and it can be used to record incoming audio on mobile calls, once paried with the phone. The 64GB of memory gives plenty of recording time, particuarly at lower bitrates. It's easy to use, and is ideal for recording university lectures and the like.At £23.99 I'd recommend it.

compact voice recorder
this is a 64Gb voice recorder that saves your files as mp3's. making it perfect for any computer.it is compact, has a small colour screen and an easily navigable menu system.it has two microphones on the top of it, and also a small speaker for playback. there is also a 3.5mm jack socket if you prefer to use headphones.the quality of the recordings, whilst not as good as the other recorder that i have, are more than acceptable for general daily use.it comes with all the bells and whistles that you would expect from a piece of tech. it has voice activated recording; can split into vocal and background scenery, allowing for better quality of speech recording; not too sure why, but it also doubles up as an mp3 player. so you can also play your favourite tunes; it has a low powered bluetooth chip, allowing for connection of wireless headphones.the battery, is good. a full charge gives about 25 hours of recording, and only takes an hour to charge. although, i'm still on what battery life it came pre-charged with.it is small in stature. it will easily fit into a pocket. and it is perfect for just about any situation.the price is really reasonable. £29.99 (atow), meaning that it very competitively priced with other similar items.

Bizarre audio implementation
So let’s start with construction quality. This is a nice little unit. It has a built in battery and it came fully charged. A good sign because it indicates the battery is capable of holding a charge and is less likely to cause problems further down the line. The buttons have a firm click and the one touch record feature is brilliant and the most important thing for me. Yes I have an iPhone and a handful of voice recording Apps. By the time I’ve persuaded my phone to accept my fingerprint and searched for an App often times I’ve lost the idea I was having. And I can forget about finding it again. This little device date stamps recordings so if it’s in my diary it’s going to be easy enough to find. It has a nice clear screen and easy to understand menus. It works much like any other recorder in this class of technology so I haven’t needed to look in the manual. It’s all very obvious with clear descriptions and a sensible folder hierarchy for recordings. I chose this device over other recorders because it had two features that you only see on high end equipment. 3072kbps recording and Bluetooth. I planned to connect it to my iPhone to transfer files to iCloud then access them on my computer later. No such luck. iOS refuses to connect saying it doesn’t support it. Annoying. So I’ve recorded a few things. My voice. Various sounds around the house. I’m a musician and a sound engineer. I already have one of these recorders somewhere. Or two or three. I’m not expecting miracles. I don’t expect it to perform as well as my iPhone. But I don’t expect it to sound horrible. I mean truly horrible. So I’ve tried pretty much everything I can and the record quality is actually worse than the low bit rate crunchy little Sony thing I have somewhere. At least that sounds interesting. The two higher bitrates are 48kHz 16Bit Stereo and 48kHz 32Bit Stereo both of which exceed CD quality. 32Bit audio has only really just come into existence in DAWs so it’s a bizarre choice of format. They seem to have skipped the more common 24Bit. By default my audio loads into iZotope RX which has a spectrum analyser. There is no reason on Earth why this machine should record at 48kHz because the microphones clearly don’t have that range. This is marketing. It’s like putting ceramic brakes on a Dacia Sandero. It’s a feature this device just doesn’t need. The microphones sound like I’m talking with a sock in my mouth. With the noise control switched on or off it doesn’t really get better (or worse or reduce background noise). I think “it is what it is” a very cheap well made unit with microphones suitable for dictation and no amount of data will ever represent it in a good light. It’s not rubbish for a cheap dictaphone. It is however horrendous for a 3072kbps recording device and the unit would have better specs if it offered a variety of codecs more suited to dictaphones.

Good
I use this to record little voice memos for myself or review for products to then wright them out at later time. This works well and sound is ok when back played. Small unit and well priced. Fits in my pocket as I carry it with me every day. Can be connected to speakers if needed

Neat little recording device - easy to use
This digital voice recorder is well made and small enough to fit into your pocket. It has 64GB of memory and is perfect for recording lectures or to use in meetings at work.It is really straightforward to use - it’s small colour screen displays an easy to read menu and it can also be set to be voice activated so that it only records when someone is speaking so you don’t have large gaps of recording nothing. It can store 25 hours of recording and its battery is long lasting taking around an hour to fully charge. It charges using a USB C lead and recordings can be downloaded to a laptop/computer in the same way.Recoding quality is good and you can connect the device by bluetooth to headphones to listen to your recordings or alternatively, you can connect to headphones via its 3.5mm jack. Recordings are stored as MP3 files and you can record music on it and use it as an MP3 player if you wish. The unit itself is made of metal and looks stylish. It is shock/drop resistant and being priced at just under £24 at the time of writing this review, I think it is great value for money especially for a student at university for recording lectures. I recommend it as a good purchase.
