Doesn’t vent
I have several sea summit bags that are great- I don’t know if this one is a manufacturer defect or what, but the “semi permeable membrane” doesn’t vent air at all and it ends up like an air balloon once the seal is rolled.

20 Liters of Awesomeness!!!
I ordered a full lineup of Sea to Summit dry bags to see what would work best for my needs. This lineup included Ultra-Sil, lightweight, heavy duty, and big river bags with varying capabilities such as basic dry bags to eVac and compression bags. The sizes ranged from 8 Liters to 35 Liters, and the waterhead ranged from 2,000mm to 10,000mm.My conclusion was that ALL of the bags consisted of great quality. Before I get into the ***This Bag*** review section, here is an easy reference to help you match your needs to a bag. The middle of the road bags really met a great compromise on everything.Weight: If the weight of the bag, and the space the material of the bag takes up is your biggest concern, the Ultra-Sil bags are for you. In the sizes I ordered, it weighs as little as .135 ounces per liter (without eVac or compression). In comparison one of the heavy duty bags I ordered (with eVac and compression) came in at .98 ounces per liter. With the exception of that bag everything else was under .5 ounces per liter.Extreme Waterproofing: Any bag except the Ultra-Sil bag has a 10,000mm waterhead. The Ultra-Sil bag has a waterhead of 2,000mm.Durability/Ruggedness: The Big River and Heavy Duty bags were made from solid materials and it is apparent they will be able to handle more abuse than the other bags. These will probably be your picks for watersports. The bags step down in durability in accordance to their overall comparative weight.Material Space: The material space of the Ultra-Sil bag is almost nil. As you go up in durability and features, the material space will also go up. I don’t have an actual metric for this, but my pictures should be a good illustration of how some of the larger liter bags can actually take up less space than a smaller liter bag depending on the material used.Overall Space: eVac and compression technology. The eVac tech will allow you to push out dead air space, while the compression tech will continue to compress your puffy items. This is perfect for sleeping bags.Load Limit: The Heavy Duty and River bags can hold up to 220 pounds. This does not seem to vary with liter size, but is based on bag material alone. It is pretty incredible that the bags could handle that amount of weight. I’ll post a disclaimer that I did not test that out. In comparison one of the lightweight bags had a 33 pound limit.***This Bag***20 Liter GreyThe 20 liter bag comes in at .192 ounces per liter. That is extremely light for a 20 liter bag that also offers eVac and compression. The Ulta-Sil technology definitely comes through. I’m finding it to be a strong material for how light and thin it is. Time will tell how well it truly holds up.The eVac and compression are great additions. They make a great bag even better! I have found the e-Vac works really well to push out all the extra helping to conserve space. The bag comes with a large tag on the inside with care instructions. This can be cut out, but I prefer when they print the instructions directly on the inside of the bag.The bag is slightly transparent. My daughter was able to tell how many fingers I was holding up when I had my hand inside the bag. The advantage of this is you can tell exactly where your stuff is inside the bag. This is an Ultra-Sil bag meaning it’s the lightest weight material Sea to Summit offers. This also translates to taking up the least amount of space as well. This also means the bag has a waterhead of 2,000 instead of the 10,000 offered with the rest of their bags. One negative, and I believe the only negative, is it came in with a v-shape bent into it due to the way it is boxed up. This was not uncommon across the bags, but was not found on all of the bags. This is a great lightweight option!!!

Perfect to keep in the car in case of emergency!
What can be said about this product that hasn’t been said by the photos already? This product speaks for itself really, if you’re in the market for one of these, and you know the amount you’re willing to spend, it’s a good buy for 3 main reasons:1. It’s durable, waterproof, and compact when you need to be, and voluminous when expanded (at least for the 20L)• The clasps are strong and hold tight even when tugged/jerked.• The opening has a membrane lining that really seals well when clasped shut, and the fabric is more than sufficient at preventing water ingress otherwise. When fully loaded it is nice to have the pull straps to condense it further.2. Its price is reflective of its quality and value. Sea to Summit is a trusted brand, and when I select one of their products, I know I’m getting an item that will be good value for money, with quality I can count on.3. It’s a good rainy-day purchase. If you’re not well versed in the gear of today’s backpacker then something like this may appear foreign to you. You may not see the versatility and peace of mind a product like this might offer you. I keep this one in my car, in the event I’m caught in a flash flood I could conceivably use this in a multitude of ways. For floatation, storing valuable belongings that can’t get wet, High Visibility for rescue detection, or just to store items in your car. There are numerous options for this bag I didn’t cover here but just shows its versatility. I keep a few emergency blankets in mine to stay dry and reduce their volume of space they take up.So again, if you're in the market for a lightweight dry bag, this is a great option. Some applications may require a more robust more expensive product, but for most bang for your buck this can get the job done phenomenally well.

Insanely Light
This ultralight dry bag is shockingly light. I've had thicker/larger dry bags before, and nothing compares to this one. With nothing in it, this packs down to basically nothing. Unlike my other dry bags, this bag has a one-way permeable base, so I can effectively "squeeze" any remaining trapped air out of it (albeit slowly), even when sealed, without water being able to get in. This is the perfect companion for keeping necessary gear/supplies bone dry during a camping/backpacking trip. The bag isn't cheap, but you get what you pay for and in this instance, you are paying for a quality dry bag for sure.

decent bag!
I really like this little bag, but I probably shoulda got a bigger one! 3L is a little more than a half-gallon jug, and a little smaller than a gallon of course. With the rolldown and clip top for waterproofing, it feels a touch smaller yet, but it should work for my puffy jacket/pants for a compressed (and dry) storage in my bag as an emergency option.

Keeps your stuff dryer longer!
I got this Sea to Summit eVac Ultra-Lightweight Compression Dry Bag for a recent camping trip and just loved it. First, if you're camping or hiking, weight is always the first thing to consider with each piece of gear. This bag is about as light as a balloon. The design allows for lots of clothes or gear to be stowed inside it and it will keep everything dry in a monsoon as long as it is properly sealed. This is a must have item for outdoor activities 😁
