Never have a cold meal on site again, heats up really fast on mains, had to let it cool down to eat after 20 mins, car charger takes a little longer about 10 mins longer depending on portion size. I usually go for rice in a bag, 15 - 20 mins on mains

For things such as pasta etc. The last time It was producing NO heat after 1hour and is currently on its way back to Amazon. I have received a refund. VERY disappointed after my initial excitement,=====================================As a professional driver I spend 40-60 hours on the road every week. This involves 8-12 hour days and many road side meals. Generally I have to take sandwiches because buying meals everyday can be costly after a while.I opted for this product in the hope that I could have a decent hot, or at least a warm meal of some sort while on the road.I've had a very similar, almost identical lunch box in the past and it was worse than useless. So after purchasing this at a discount I wasn't expecting much.HOWEVER. To my total suprise. It works amazingly.On first use I had some left over pasta from my previous evening meal. I plugged in the lunch box and set my phone stop watch running, opened the steam port and left it running.3/4 minutes went by and I didn't feel any heat from the base of the lunch box, I begin to think "Here we go again another useless piece of junk" 6 minutes in I touch the box and there's definitely heat. So I left it until my stop watch read 20 minutes.Next I opened the box and tried a few pieces, around the top part of the box the pasta still needed more heating up (For my liking) but at the bottom it was piping hot. So I gave it a good stir and reset for another 20 minutes.After that my food was just as hot as if it had just come off the stove.I would imagine different foods will take different times to heat up, trial and error.Definitely invest in this lunch box if your sick of sandwich's and don't want to constantly buy lunches everyday.

It works great, hot meal anywhere

The item is great to heat up food, it's also nice and quiet. I bought the electric lunchbox for use in a hotel whilst I was training away from home for 3 months so that I could eat food that my stomach agreed with. I found quite quickly that it didn't work with the shaving socket as I hoped due to a slightly different voltage (hotel's socket was 250V). Therefore, ended up sitting in my car for 50 minutes to have warm food. The next day I bought a car plug to UK plug adaptor. Then it worked fine.However, it does take an hour to heat up food in either a car or room. It does the job I need it to, just slowly, so I'm happy. (Still quicker than the hotel microwaving my food!)

Bought for my husband to use in his truck. He can warm up homemade meals when he’s out on the road. Easy to use and quick. No messing around with a gas’s burner to make a hot meal. Works with ready meals too.
