I have a 12x8 three season porch attached to my deck that gets strong afternoon sun through one side. Rain will also dampen the porch if I just have a screen there, so I leave the large glass pane on during the whole year to avoid the wetness. This makes the porch even hotter and unusable during the late afternoon.I bought a 39" x 72" shade which not only blocks the sun and heat, but allows me to keep the screen on and cool air flowing through the porch.For $45, it was fairly easy to install. However, be exact in your measurements. Round down an inch if your window measures over the exact amount as the brackets adjust for it.The shade adjusts easily and comes with a latch for the cord so it won't get tangled.I bought a 84"×72" one for privacy on the front side last year and can vouch for their durability.

We have a picture window that faces southwest. In the summer, standing directly in front of the window, it feels a lot warmer than elsewhere in the room and I'm sure it increased air conditioning cost. I did not want the reflective film because solar gain in cold weather is desirable. I also wanted something that would let some light in and I could have some view of the yard. I noticed this kind of shade at a doctor's office and began searching. This shade lets in some light and gives a filtered view of the outside while cutting out much of the solar gain. They also are easy to open and close, fit well, look nice, and can be raised so they are covered by the valance. Very pleased with these and recommend them. Note: These are not for privacy at night with room lights on.

This is better than I thought. Keeps some of the heat out and you vistors cannot see inside the door (see 3rd photo). We, however, can see out (see 1st and 2nd photos). I adore this. We had to buy a slightly larger size than we wanted, as that size sold out. Still would highly recommend. Shipped quickly. Easy to use but we will most likely will always have ours down.

The product itself is great. East install, simple function. Decent quality, especially for the price. Window treatments are insanely expensive in the stores, particularly when you buy something “custom.” This gets the job done and looks nice.Was hoping this could let some light in a bathroom window, but also provide a bit of privacy. Definitely not the case. My neighbors will get a show at night! As long as you it is pretty transparent and that works for your windows, I recommend!

A year ago I purchased six of these for our screened in porch and since have enclosed it with windows. They keep the sun out while still letting light in. Last week I purchased one more for the storm door. The chain makes it easy to open and close. A huge fan of these.
