I purchased this trolling motor because it was a good price point with decent thrust. Well I guess you get what you pay for. Using it on my second outing with my small boat, the handle kept spinning and would not go into gear. I could not get the motor to shut off, like another person here mentioned. It got stuck in reverse and would not change to any other gear. Very disappointed.. I would have returned the item but it is already past the window. I would not recommend this product.

Second time using this motor the handle broke. The handle now just spins around and will not go into gear.

The spline for the propeller is larger than the receiver on the propeller. Modification will be needed....

did not use often but the motor quit working after 4 months

This is easy to install on my flat back canoe. It has lots of power to move it around.

Either the manufacturer didn't properly balance the motor rotor assembly or there is something bad in the gear box.The vibration from the unit is so bad that it vibrates the entire 14.5' canoe that I attached the unit to. It is not the propeller or the canoe mounting as I tried the spare propeller and I have used other throlling motors on the same canoe mount.Battery cable is also at least 2' shorter than my previous throlling motor. Overall the quality of this unit is terrible.

Awesome it works really well but I will recommend 100ah battery if you want to go longer trips.
