ALPEK Remote Ultrasonic Outdoor Animal Control Pest Repeller Motion Detector Eco-Friendly - Effective Pest & Animal Management Without Traps

OK I set it up and after some adjustment it does the job of detecting and alarming.Problems I found are:Remote control works intermittently. I need that to turn the alarm off if I am working/walking in the area being monitored. When the remote works you get a nice loud 'beep' to tell you it has turned off. When you turn it back on there is a 'beep' but then you get the alarm cycle when I am not in the sensor area.I have set it up for 'day' as the alarm setting. I have found that the alarm turns off if it is a very cloudy day (lower than usual daylight). I am not talking about dark but a little dull. It also turns on about 1 hour after sunrise and off about 1 hour before dusk.The sensor in the unit seems to be out of alignment and detects movement more to the left than the right.I also noted that there are three holes at the bottom at the back of the unit. One of these is for the mains adapter wire entry into the unit. The other two are there to help you get the back off. The back of the unit is not screwed to the body of the unit. As I have located the unit near the ground so that it can pick up movement of animals one plus foot high, these gaps will no doubt give ants a nice place to set up home. So some silicon grouting is needed to seal the unit.

I have a couple of cardinals that have declared war on my east side windows. They frantically peck at the windows throughout the day. I have tried several solutions that were temporarily successful ( owl and predatory bird models , shiny distracting tapes and ornaments and other sound and light creating devices), but the birds are smart and they quickly determine that these are not real threats so they continue pecking the windows. This device has worked for several months now. The birds now occasionally peck , but it is rare and the do not go into a pecking frenzy any more . They might peck once or twice, then they leave. I also had a skunk problem earlier this year. I set the sound to repel skunks ( the sound is adjustable for different animals) and it caused the skunk to leave my property. I now own four and have them positioned around the house so that I can safely repel animals when needed.

The shipping and the packaging was perfect and this item came in on time , however when I went to set it up and turn it on the back is very difficult to put on . Also the item was defective and did not work . We set the frequency and time and type of pest ,put it on for night mode ,but sadly this product did not do any use to us . We are having a nutria issue ,and the rodent keeps digging holes in the yard we needed it to stop but this did not help at all.

We have had a raccoon tearing up our roof, but this stopped it!! Keeps t pests away from our house and it may have an influence on the local "strollers" in the "hood" that see the strobe light.

Doesn't do a damn thing, regardless of what setting.... SAVE YOUR MONEY and don't buy this POS! I've literally watched the squirrels perch on top of this while it makes noises and flashes. You want a deterrent this isn't it. You want a Squirrel disco dance party box, you've got it here!

As some other people have mentioned you have to take off the back to make adjustments and it is a pain to put back on. I have 5-6 mule deer that come in my yard. The first time the load sonic sound scared them then 10 minutes later they walked right past it blaring. The ultrasonic and flashing light is totally ineffective.

It does absolutely nothing to keep animals away. We have raccoons, coyotes, foxes and when this goes off they basically just look at it then ignore it. Even our dog isn't bothered by it. Also, I thought humans are not supposed to hear the ultrasonic sound. It isn't loud, but we can all hear the high pitched sound...even when the audible sound is turned off.

The sorriest piece of junk I have ever bought. Would not work even after being plugged in
