Great Desk, just don't buy from "The Nerds"
The desk itself is fantastic, easily adjustable and works even with my larger 27" iMac on it.As I'm using an iMac I was able to avoid a lot of the extra installation parts, such as strapping in a tower, or anything like that.Since it's nearly fully assembled when it arrives, you just flip the box on end, open it up and slide it out. Then bolt on the monitor stand, and attach the VESA mount clip to the stand, then of course your monitor to that.Adjust the tension underneath via socket wrench with the desk all the way lowered. And you're good to go.On a side note, while they're using a lower price + shipping to appear first in the list, I'd avoid buying from "The Nerds" whoever they are using to ship these desks just threw it at the end of my driveway and I had to return it. That itself was a hassle as I didn't hold on to all of the original packaging, and they wouldn't ship out a new desk, so I could use the packaging from it. At the price these things are, I would think they'd be a little more flexible on that "policy."I bought from "Technology Galaxy" the second in the list, who's price at the time of this review is actually lower with the free shipping. Their freight service called me to schedule a drop off and their delivery person brought it up to my door on a hand cart. A whole lot better than coming home to a busted up box practically sitting in the street. So long story short, if you're looking for a good sit stand work station that can handle a heavy monitor, this is it. Just avoid "The Nerds"

DO NOT BUY, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
I bought this desk 8 years ago in 2014. Today the lifting system all of a sudden broke and the desk is stuck in one height and cannot be moved up or down. I called their customer service, basically they told me the lifting system only lasts 4-6 years and once it broke, it is NOT FIXABLE and there is nothing they would do as it is out of the 5 year warranty. One person I talked to even had the audacity to tell me I got a good deal because it outlived the 4-6 years life span! So expect this $1000 desk to last only 5 years! - Oct. 2022

Good desk. Make sure your monitor works with the equipment.

Love the desk, be careful about monitor weight
Overall I love this desk. I have two kinds of sit/stand desks. At work I use the Kangaroo and at home I used the Ergotron. They are both good for what they do. The Kangaroo is an adapter for an existing desk and the Ergotron is a stand alone desk. If I had to pick one it would be the Ergotron. It was easy to assemble. It is super easy to use. The main vertical adjustment works like a dream, the mechanism is so smooth. However, the independent height adjustment for the monitor does have one gotcha. It is critical that your monitor be in the correct weight range for the unit. Ergotron comes in LD & HD. The difference between them is the weight of the monitor they support. And if your monitor is not in that range the height adjustment for the monitor does not work right. You can still use the unit, but the height will be fixed in relation to the main tray & keyboard.A general comment about sit/stand workstations. Stop thinking about getting one and get one. Immediately. I've been working in technology for almost 18 years and I am always at a keyboard. That much time at a keyboard will wreak havoc on back, neck, shoulders, wrists, etc unless you get your workstation ergonomics right. I know from first hand experience as I have pain in basically all those places. Using a sit/stand desk at work & home has really helped lower my pain and allow me to work for longer periods of time without discomfort. I strongly recommend it for anyone that works all day at a computer.

Much more filmsy than expected (and arrived damaged)
From my RMA request:"When I opened the cardboard box, as instructed, several screws and pieces of laminate fell out. After a bit of investigation, and comparison to the assembly instructions I verified that the screws were not parts for me to assemble. Rather, they fell from the underpart of the top tray, where it attaches to the central pole. I found five such screws and pieces of laminate with screw holes through them. The top tray may have lost more. It is not easy to count."I thought that for the price this will be a much sturdier piece of furniture. If you are going to keep it in one corner of the house, never really move it, it may work fine. I was hoping to take it out to the yard, and roll it back in. The materials being what they are, I doubt it would withstand even one or two lifting to get out/back in the house. Very disappointed.

Ergonomic, Compact work desk
Love this desk. I have a 32 inch monitor attached to the monitor arm, and a laptop arm (from a different brand) that just clamps on to the desk. There is also a Varidesk power adapter at the back of the desk. The base of this desk has been designed in a way that a footrest easily fits inside without issue.I love that it is super compact. The size works because I can move it form room to room if needed - this fits through the doorway easily with the 32 inch monitor attached to it.Love the comfort of the keyboard that is suspended below for a good posture. The desk is small, but enough to keep a notebook, pen holder and a cup of coffee. It is super sturdy, goes from sitting to standing easily, and looks really sleek. My shoulder pain has subsided since I started using it.

The only way to work
This is a great unit and I alternate between standing and sitting on an exercise ball every couple of hours. Looks better than its photo and worth the investment when amortized over several years. I'm 6'1. I started out with the less expensive desk unit several years prior but have gotten rid of my desk since. Both units have saved my back and neck. No drawbacks.

Compact, durable, portable and pretty
Only complaints are the mount for computer chassis is only made for square mini ATX cases. I had to rig it to hold my Revolt mini case by adding a board that mounts the brackets.
