Better than original remote!

...as the manufacturer claims it replicates the original control function but there is no button to operate the TV on/off.Other buttons operate but can be temperamental and may need a firm push or send a double signal.Sorry but I had to return it.

I bought this to replace my Arris Freesat box remote control which I’d lost and the genuine one was more expensive but I’m rather disappointed. Sometimes the buttons need to be pressed several times before my TV box responds which is extremely annoying. Feels and looks cheap and uncomfortable to hold too. Nothing like as good as the original remote control so I will be ordering the proper one now and keeping this one as a spare. Best to order the proper control in the first place.

The remote that ships with the FreeSat box is truy bad: any keypress is likely to send 2 or more signals to the box, so, e.g., a single "down" press on a menu sends 2 or 3 down presses, and is intensely annoying. This unit has a different failure: the manufacturing tolerances are very poor, so the keys are slightly too large for the holes in the surface plastic of the control. The result is that the keys jam down, and generate endless keypresses.Overall, it's clear that FreeSat could not produce lower quality components. They charge a lot, for the rubbish that they ship.
